Installer won't run?

Post » Sat Aug 14, 2010 9:24 pm

I've been having some trouble getting the disc to run on my PC. If I insert the disc, my PC acts as if nothings there, I've tried running it by typing autorun into my "Run" box but I have similar results. I know the disc isn't the problem because I tried it on my older PC and it automatically ran, displaying the installer.
Anyone Help?

Could possibly be your anti-virus software. I couldn't get my game to install as avira anti virus was handling Crysis2.exe as a trojan and denying access to it. So had to put it as a exception program in the options.

Well it's a samsung dvd drive. I don't see what the problem would be, It has DL on tech specs, so I assume it reads dual layer. There shouldn't be any reason why it would not read the disc a part from possible hardware fault such as bad laser.

Strange, it will run other games, but i'm talking stuff like Republic Commando here. Mind you had a similar problem with my Xbox 360. Sounds like a possible reason.
