yeah the drm they use allows you to authorize 5 pcs, but only one can be playing at a time. you can also deauthorize pcs i think through ea's website.

http://activate.ea.com/deauthorize/

---Is it possible to use the EA De-Authorization Management Tools to de-authorize a machine I currently don't have access to?

Because of the nature of the tools and other security concerns, the EA De-Authorization Tools can only be used to de-authorize a computer that you can physically access.

I just noticed this though... and this really pisses me off cause my "authorizations" that are used up are from the same pc, i just reformat it every 6 months or so..... which means I cant go "back" to my old setup to deauthorize it. i think im going to be returning my game to ea and getting in from steam.... this is worse than than i realized, cause im about 1 "authorization" away from never being able to access many of my games ever again...

guess gotta remember to deauthorize and you will be fine (although i didnt see crysis 2 on there yet)

I really dont appreciate being f-ed up the a ea.... i thought you had changed, guess i was wrong

EDIT: guess EA games bought through steam suffer the same sh**y DRM.

Im so tired of all these issues with EA and Crytek and Gamespy... I almost just wanna say f- it. I dont wanna play this game anymore. I may just have to find this game through other means... after spending 70 bucks on this headache id be better off returning it i think, I'd hate to lose access to it like I have with Crysis WARHEAD (WHICH I ALSO BOUGHT)...sigh

Moral of the story DEAUTHOURIZE!

just wanted to let you know that if you right click the crysis 2 icon on your desktop (or were ever the icon is) there should be an option to "deauthorize this machine". I'm guessing thats got to do with the securom/drm crap. please correct me if i'm wrong.

it's so dumb, DRM in no way stops piracy... its a concept that should be eliminated.
