Can't find the answer to this anywhere (not a lag question)

I'm sure this has been asked a million times or I am too stupid to understand it, but why is there a pretty hefty delay in the lowering of your gun from iron sights to just on the hip during the single player game? I have been playing multiplayer and when I finally started to play single player I really noticed a huge delay. I get that it might not be realistic to instantly raise and lower your gun, but when I let go of the trigger it should instantly start to lower. Is it because your suit isn't good enough yet? Again, I don't mean to be a noob here. Please don't bash me too hard. Just couldn't find the answer to this anywhere.

Its because the campagain takes a mroe realistic approach on physics.

If you have ever fired or even held a fire arm in your life you will realise that the crap they do in Call of duty is totally not real and completely fake.

If youve ever tried ramming a rifles sights up to your eye it usually ends painfully and its better to lower your sight slowly incase you need to use it immeadiately again if an enemy suprises you.

Yeah I assumed that's it and I totally appreciate that realism, but my character doesn't even begin to lower it for a second or so. I get that he would lower it slower than other games but he doesn't even start to lower it when I release the trigger. That's a little weird.
