Crysis was on steam, all other EA releases the last years have been on steam, it will be on steam, however, steam is not compatible with 64-bit games. So if you want C2 in 64-bit you can't get it from steam.

Look at the APB - was on steam , survived only half year and all servers closed. The only steam is a good way to play without cheaters .

APB was such a fail, that's a perfect example of what happens when you do not listen to your beta testers or your community when it comes to developing a game. Especially in these tough economic times, U.S., people are not going to pay money to play second rate.

Just buy it in stores because DLC for EA games won`t be on steam, i`m still waiting for the Mirrors Edge DLC to be relased on steam and when I buy the DLC from EA online it won`t be compatible with the steam version.

Crysis 2 will be on steam, im assuming from the Crysis 2 thread on the steam forums:

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1299316

I was about to pre-order crysis 2 from a game store but ive been noticing that my laptops' dvd drive has been letting me down recently.
The laser must be dying already, in the 8 months ive had it. I really dont trust laptop dvd drives now, because this is the second time its happened to me.

Well anyways im thinking i might pre-order crysis 2 on steam just to be safe......Or i could go out and pay $80 for a decent external dvd drive/burner, then pre-order crysis 2, the physical disc from a store.
Im still considering which way i'll go.

NONONONONO!! Steam is a **** fail, all it has is **** connection problem and gay crap like fi you got a game outside your country you can't play it. They don't stop hackers for the people who wonder, hackers get VIA Blockers and Steam can't track them. I know that casue my friends are hackers. So if its gonna be on Steam, then its already gonna kind of svck.

There are big chances that Crysis 2 will come to Steam. Crysis and Crysis Warhead is on Steam so I ain`t see why Crysis 2 not will come to Steam. EA is a big partner with Steam to.

@ soppan: Do you think steam will ever give us the 64 bit version?

Crysis 2 will definitely come to steam, Crysis 2 was released 3 years ago, Steam Has changed during those 3 years, but it's not entirely Steam's fault, if crytek or EA discussed with Valve, they could easily allow DLCs from EA store to be activated or that 64-BIt version of the game could be downloaded and i really hope Crytek UK works on the MP part of servers, to avoid having to use Gamespy.

Most other games are nowadays, so I don't see why not.

What does APB have something with crysis to do ? Apb was also outside steam , not a steam only game.

Whats all the steam hate? I have 60+ games on steam, and have not encountered one problem. To answer OP's question: Yes it will because of the partnership EA has with steam, and the fact that Crysis and Crysis warhead are both on it currently. Im not sure about 64 bit versions, but EA has released DLC for their games over steam, and i dont think Crysis 2 will be an exception.
