Supersoldier feedback.

A few thoughts on play so far..

I am playing through on Supersoldier level as I like a challenge. I figured it would be about the same as Delta in Crysis but to me it seems much harder. It does make it a bit more challenging. Some observations...

1) The AI act to much like computers and don't react in the way a human soldier would. I know making AI act totally human like is too much to ask but it seems the nanosecond I come out of cloak every enemy CELL instantly fires exactly on my position. Would it be possible to program more human like reactions into the enemies - each AI has a scanning range and a viewpoint, some randomness to how they visually identify you and if they're on the other side of the map then it should still be fairly tricky to actually see you.

2) At times it seems the AI can see me even when in cloak.

3) Enemy AI can see fallen comrades even behind walls.

4) Enemy AI can see you behind walls.

I don't expect any of these issues to be addressed in this game but for future reference.

Well I have noticed that if you get within breathing range of AI while trying to do a stealth kill, you have to be quick. Otherwise they will turn around and start shooting. I have also noticed everything you have said. :S

Do the enemies react the same way for the other difficulty levels?

Is the AI in this release candidate bugged - I have been killed many times popping out of cover WHEN CLOAKED only for the CELL troops to headshot me from 50 meters away. I'm not sure I've got the will to actually finish the game. Added to the fact that I cannot get into a MP game.

I think the supersoldier-difficulty is much easier than the first Crysis. Its should be harder. You can just cloak around almost every situation. The only hard thing are the helicopters and big aliens that youre forced to fight.

The AI is bugged, but it IS Super Soldier, so they are Super as in have better senses or the like <-- my theory

I've always viewed it as Normal is the way the game should play out, and the harder difficulties throw every cheap trick in the book at you in order to make it more challenging. After all, we must be sure it's hard enough for the masochist gamers among us right?

Also, why does everyone call it Supersoldier difficulty? In my game at least, it's called Post-Human Warrior. Or does everyone just call it that as an abbreviation?

I just decided to turn down the level - Supersoldier is just mental :D It's a much more rewarding experience when you don't die every 2 minutes. Looking at the guidelines the second difficulty level is recommended for experienced FPS'ers. I think the hardest difficulty is just for masochists.

Super solider was easy, just cloaked past everyfight and literally walked through the whole campaign, but I guess you can play the campaign however you want and if you want to walkthrough it you can.
