today i got the gauss rifle and i was realy happy about that so i tryed it out. and i realised that it was sh*t
it was bader than dsg sniper rifle. it dont even 1 shot 1 kill and that is realy bad cuz u cant make montages and stuff like that. the only point u can kill some1 with 1 shot is the head. same with the dsg. please crytek make gauss rifle 1 shot 1 kill atleast at the over boddy on multiplayer. if dont this game will be boring just go around shoot peoples with the other wapons.

If it was ohk to torso aswell it would probably be abused so badly combined with energy transfer. Ohk weapon + constant cloaking = Abusefest deluxe

I too was disappointed. I lit up a guy from 10 feet away with 3 shots from it, and he did not drop. At least the dsg is pretty consistent 2 shot to drop.

I think it just packs more punch... that's about it really. Not ohk but it only requires the enemy to be hurt a tiny bit and you drop them with one shot (atleast from my limited experience with it, ~75kills or so)

my experience with it is weird. I aim directly at someone sometimes and it just never hits for some reason. The gun does pack a punch though but I think its bugged.

Yep that is what it seemed like to me too. There is so much noise/recoil/flash that I could not tell I was getting a hit marker. A couple times I found a camper in stealth and lit up his dome, with one shot, but body shots are no good for me.

When someone is cloaked and then you shoot him its a OHK but in armor it drains thier energy all the way and possibly if no lag you will kill him.

Definitely, even with Armor 2 hits in the body should do it. I know the guys that I have gotten 3 into, did not have their armor on.

DSG is great

Gauss is great too, just remember different type of sniper rifle... so maybe thats the way they were coded... or maybe you should aim for the Head?

not easy to aim for the head if u quick scope or noscope and thst is the only funn thing to do with the snipers

Yea, there is something definitely up with that Gauss...
I can shoot at someone standing still 4 or 5 times with it and not him them once?
Then they realize someone has been shooting them, pull out the dsg, then bam.
