SP power out

Post » Mon Aug 16, 2010 10:02 pm

I gotta say crytek the level POWER OUT on Super Soldier is actually challenging i straight got my ass kicked about 6 times before i was able to finally take that BI-POD pinger down. wish he couldnt track you so well cause i like runnin up on him and stickin about 5 bricks of C-4 to it and vaporozing it. but rockets are fun as well.

Yep it's a very irritating level. I just didn't like how I couldn't find any working rocket launchers or C4 that I could pick up. Grenades to work on it, just not that well. I'm close to the end of the game on Super soldier right now.

the best way to do it is once you have fought the Ceph when the lights go down, gather as many JAWS as you can, and mark any you cant collect, and run into the little office in the middle of the area, hide in there and you can shoot it without it getting you, i found it so hard its the hardest level to do, and half my JAWS said there was ammo in them but they would not fire :/ so frustrating!

yeah ive noticed that with the JAWS rockets. when reloading the level. ill have 4 rockets. 1 armed and 3 in stock. ill fire 1 and it wont reload. pretty much forcing me to restart level. all together. i found same problem happening in corporate collapse when having to take down that pinger as well. that is reallsy fustrating on super soldier.

Yep, happened to me during both Pinger fights. Just takes time (which would help if there was auto-save like C1). There are plenty of C4 that can't be picked up either.

run into the little office in the middle of the area

That didn't work for me at all on Super Soldier. The stalkers find you in there and attack you, and in a confined space like that they're almost impossible to fight.

There's a big container in one of the side streets, I think it's to the west, just next to the building you go through after you blow up the Pinger. I've generally found hiding behind that works pretty well. The Pinger won't go around it, and the stalkers take long enough to get to you that you can spot them on the radar and shoot them when they do.

It also seems to be possible to just leave the C4 on the street, and when the Pinger steps on it, it explodes. But I've never been able to just rig the area with four C4 and have him detonate them all. Not sure why.
