I personally like the SCAR. I think it has a new name now.

It fires electro-zappy-dart things.
I remember seeing a killcam of it, and the camera zoomed right up to the bullet and did that whole cool thing. It looked like a ball of lightning with a metallicish core, I think.

in the 3d trailer, it doesnt look like typical m16 - like bursts, it looks more like bursts from a full auto rifle.
Time will tell

I hope so, I loved the full auto and semi auto fire modes in Crysis, but I was really missing a semi auto firemode which is what I usually like to use. :(

The "K-Volt" kinda looks like a Vector SMG.
Under-barrel grenade launchers? Does not sound good to me.

Select-fire modes seem pointless to me :\
You can do the same thing yourself, but it just takes a little skill to control.
Then again, Crysis 2 seems to be aimed at the CoD audience - "easy kills without the skills", so I suppose you could expect burst modes... And people running around like headless chickens spamming grenade launchers and racking up hordes of unfair kills.

I'm not saying people who use these modes aren't as skilled as others, but it is a tool to make things easier - like the grenade launchers :\

I dont think they are putting all this in to empower noobs, but rather to add some more depth to the game. if you have played crysis wars, the grenade launchers are nothing special, and since everyone has thier own style of play, you wont have everyone running around using burst fire mode, unless they grossly overpower it. whats wrong with having some variation and realism to a game?

Same for me, kinda experienced this kind semi auto like burst while playing some other fps games, like L4d-2 (Scar-L) and in Cod:Mw2.

lol, the gl in crysis wars is so weak that is almost a motive of humiliation to the victim that gets killed by it

Exactly my point, thanks :)
you pretty much had to shoot them directly in the face after a heavy gunfight to kill them with it

The new grenade launcher should be expected to have better accuracy at least.

Not being able to quote from different pages, I'll just say;
this isn't Crysis, this is Crysis 2.
The grenade launchers may have been weak in the first one, but that doesn't mean they'll keep up the standards.

CoD 4 was great - except for a thew unbalances - mainly instant-kill burst-fire guns, grenade launchers, "Martyrdom", and annoying killstreaks. After many complaints of these thew things, they decided bring them back, make them even more powerful, more common, and easier to use.

Crytek probably won't be that bad, but you see my point.
Before Crysis 2 was announced, I'm sure most of you assumed it was going to be another PC-exclusive if it was made.
They went after the big market, and the big market screams for games that let your grandma beat a "pro".

... Just kinda worried about this being a CoD game :\
