What A Con

I'm I the only one to be absolutely disgusted by the decision to release this crappy DX9 version. Crysis 1 was awesome, the detail, the realism were something to rave about, in its full DX10 glory it was a pure joy to play, so what happened? Here is what I think, I think they sold out, I think money became the driving goal, consoles sell more games, harder to pirate, this is where the cash is, however I would assume that Crysis 1 made a profit, so why not repeat it, why not make something just as great or better. The decision to release the DX9 version with no confirmation of if there is ever going to be a DX11 patch is criminal, if I could return this game to the store I would, if I could find a button on steam to return this product I would use it.

This is a slap in the face for any gamer who purchased the pre-release, all we got was a robbed. Promises made during the build up to the release of Crysis 2 made most of us think we were going to get a DX11 version of the game, it also made us think that this would also become the benchmark of choice in which to punish our PCs, instead all we got was hype and another generic shooter. The only hope now is that the rumours are true and that there is a DX11 patch due at some point and that it is good enough for a level of forgiveness for this disaster. I will state that if this patch is not released I will not be buying an EA or Crytec game for long time

For those who say the game is good so why complain, go take a running jump, the game is now just another crappy dx9 console port, there is nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd, “oh but the nano suit”, what use is it if one round to the head still kills me, eh! And while we are on the subject of dying, the kill cam in multi player should be removed, why u ask, because if I have to watch my death while been shot though walls, or any of the other unforgivable glitches while I die though the use of magic and not physics is just going to make me hate this game even more than I already do. My fav death cam moment had to be getting shot from the side of a gun, the bullet left the barrel at a 90* angle WTF!

So where does that leave us, well it leave me with a choice, do I ever trust EA and Crytec enough to buy a pre-release copy of a game again from them. Does the camo skin and other “bonus” relieve the growing feeling I’ve been ripped off, no, not even close. So for EA and Crytec to ever get me to trust them to purchasing a game pre release again will take a whole lot more than just a DX11 patch at some point between now and never. Shame on both ur houses.

Agree, but still I loved the campaign mate,
Thought I do agree and understand your thoughts and feelings,
I would love to see this with DX11 also, cause it is what we are using at the moment,
W7 ultimate and still they release the game with WXP DX9 release.

we all hoped for a Power game like crysis was in its days, but maybe they care and still make some adjustments
for us PC gaming community.

I loved the campaign, but still there is a bug that is taking me from going ahead on my second time campaign,
the nano suite upgrade menu just doesn't accumulate the points on Alien kills so we can not upgrade the suit
to is full power, so it is annoying and I stooped playing the game until its fixed, but seriously I doubt they patch the game to DX11.
