Hi Everybody,

I bought Crysis 2 yesterday and experienced something strange today. I played up to the point where the alien ship crashed down and i had to investigate the parts of the ship. I did all of that and got the first improvement for my nanosuit and then played on until I got the message "checkpoint reached" and then two or three minutes after that I quit playing yesterday.

When I wanted to resume the game today I had to start again with investigating all the alien wreck parts and my nanosuite is not improved with the first upgrade yet...

As I play it on hardest mode, it took me a lot of time to clear the zone, so that's holy ****! The manual says the game is saved every checkpoit!!! and can be continued from there!!!

Is it ab bug????

I would have to say, YES. I haven't had any problems myself with checkpoint saving, but this shouldn't happen anyways. Perhaps you could post more information, like what OS you're on, so that if the devs read it, they might know what to look for.

i'm having the exact same problem as the other user. i reach (semper fi or die mission) i was at the 3rd checkpoint, died and respawned on the previous mission.
The previous mission loading screen even appeard. A friend that is playing crysis too tells me that he is experiencing as well the inability of melee attack while cloaked flank.
Are these errors going to be fixed soon in a patch? Are these erros being taken care of?

Hi everybody,

I found a solution for the problem. The savegame that the game restores after you died or when you click "resume" in the main menu wasn't the real last one saved.

I saw it when I clicked "campaign" and then "load" in the main menu! The last savegame listed there (number 14) said playtime 1 hour 10 minutes and the one before (number 13) said 1 hour 30 minutes. So I loaded this one an see... This was the REAL last checkpoint!

So maybe everyone experiencing the problem can try this too!

But the problem should be fixed anyway!!
