please allow autoaim for gamepad users

i played the demo and it worked great. this is false advertising. i should be allowed to control as i see fit. i play on my couch with my home theater setup and much prefer the casual experience of the xbox360 gamepad. now i feel thrown to the wolves without some sort of aim assistance. the controller just doesnt allow the same degree of precision and efficiency against mouse users. please give the gamepad user a chance.
i've been gaming for over 20 years on pc, and this whole giving in to pressure "due to overwhelming feedback" on the forums is ridiculous.
simpsons taught me that the squeaky wheel get the grease, so i'm posting how disheartened i am to see such a basic feature removed.
alot of the forum posters for pc are elitist and often hypocrites. pc users generally have far worse gaming experiences regardless of hardware they own. I have a quadcore 3.5ghz rig with xfx 5870 and generally pc gaming is horrible due the setup time required to get a game to run half as smooth as a console version. i dont have time to sit there tweaking 50 plus options going back and forth between settings when i have an hour or so to play every couple days.
streamlining systems is important and these forum babies are getting in the way of the improvements devs like cryek are implementing. Crytek you are the professionals! trust youre work, not some bich on the internet thinking they're owed something.
its obvious crysis 2 has been tailored to a more casual, mass audience. please cater to that widespread audience and allow auto aim with game pad
i dont play to professionally compete or whatever. i want to blow off some steam online and not get my ass handed to me everytime because of the input device i choose to use. lame

If you want to play with auto-aim (lets face it, thats an aimbot) then go and play with all the other console players who can't shoot straight without a game holding their hand.

Even though I've ordered the xbox version so I don't have to play with hackers, I have to agree... Don't expect something like that to find a lot of sympathy from the PC community. If you want the aim-assists, get the xbox version. I wish i could enjoy the PC version, but for now, I just want to play the mp without hackers.

I don't even own the PC version and I agree 100%. I loved playing the demo on PC with my PS3 controller, I prefer controller to anything, But nope, The 4channers who troll this forum are all "lol XD master race console pesant auto aim is **** crytek is the devil *pirates game*" and Crytek, Being the generious people they are, Remove it. I'm not saying Crytek is bad, It's just it's bad they have to give in to 4channers, Which is sad.

Aim and gamepad is the privilege of consoles. PC have a mouse.

If you want an easy game, go play CoD....or hello kitty island adventure......

Or you could just learn to aim like everyone else....

There's already a fairly big discussion on the matter, but here's a quick rundown of my thoughts on the matter.

The PC community as a whole detests any form of automation in multiplayer environments. A combination of abuse during the demo as well as the lack of any security in the demo resulted in this outcry. The gamepad is still usable in the strictest sense, but if you don't wish to deal with the inherent flaws of that input device, then you will need to get used to another one.

This is akin to a racing title on a console that uses keyboard and mice suddenly having automated support for people on the keyboard and mouse where gamepad users get none. While versatility is one of the strong points of the PC, that doesn't mean that a game ought to be tailored in a competitive environment for sub-par input devices. Should we make an auto-aim or aim-assist consideration for people trying to play with a steering wheel?

Isn't there the possibility to get a keyboard and a mouse for console users?
You know what happened in Aliens vs Predators 2010 with all the jazz about the console players having an aim assist? Some PC users got pissed off, grabbed a console emulator or something along those lines so the game detects their mouse as a gamepad.

Quite honestly I'm not agreeing with aim assists for people using gamepads. I think some games offer a discount if they decide to buy a mouse and keyboard for their console, if using those is actually possible. Imagine people using gamepad for 2d versus fighting games asking for some kind of additional assist when playing while arcade stick users would get none.

All I'd want from console users would be to actually discover the whole fun about using the keyboard and the mouse on a fps game, rather than using a gamepad. Believe me once you get to taste it, you don't want to go back or feel that people asking for an aim assist are missing out on the real fun of aiming.
