That's what I'm excited about. Richard Morgan is famous for his character personalities and twists in his stories. Maybe they changed the side to fight against the aliens? Or the CEO of CryNet dies or whatever. I only demand a Demo or the highly promised Multiplayer-Beta for first signups to christmas and everything will be fine. :D

Yay for VTOL's, even if they are a bit ugly. It does beg the question at to why they're using crappy blackhawks in the wall trailer though. It seems like the VTOL's are quite ubiquitous. Unless loads have been shot down so they've dug out the old crap!

The US military still uses Apache helicopter gunships that were built in the 1970s, and US Marines still are equipped with M16 rifles which were invented in the 1950s. The military prefers to reuse old equipment rather than spend billions of dollars to purchase brand new equipment that requires expensive training to operate.

Your wrong on that the Model-16 rifle was invented till the early 60's the Model-14 which in 1957 was the M-37 was the rifle we were working on.

On another note it is interesting that they're using black hawk type helicopters, my speculation is that the VTOL'S we saw in the first game were part of a unique task force of the military that was sent to the island if you remember their was two carriers near the island. As i think there were more than one team of soldiers using the nano suits seen in Crysishead and those other VTOL's were probably used by them and the Marines/Marine Recon.

But this may be incorrect and is based on opinion and not factual information.

I have always been of the opinion that the us are at the forefront for weps dev, even in space, lmao.

Though they do infact have a tendancy to recycle thats on the practicality basis.

No dounbt that tyhe Vtol is in that pic, but is it a gd piece of artwork ? or maybe a single player transition? or is it indeed in multiplayer.

Who knows, the time draws ever closer. :-)

no, im pretty sure its a gameplay pic. but thats good speculation i guess. there probably wont be too much vehicle-based combat in crysis 2. (other than mounted turrets on humvees) maybe there could be some in single player, but probably not multiplayer. attack helicopters, vtols, and all those other vehicles made good sense in sandboxish games, but can be a little more challenging for the linear ones

In my opinion I think the Marine Task Force had ordered a squadron of the vehicles to test their capability during the original operation, after the Alien attacks occur the corporation responsible for the VTOL's design and development decided to no longer provide these vehicles to the US Military and it's para-military force CELL use them exclusively.

That would tie in with the fact CELL are trying to re-acquire your 'suit'. That's just my opinion on it.

I personally, support this slightly corporate - militaristic endeavor for the Vtol.
Sounds like a Crysis friendly idea.

Vtols belonging to Cell would trash us all over the place! Any counter to that?
