Some cool things to do?

Post » Sun Aug 09, 2009 12:27 pm

I really like this game, but I think I already just about did most of the quests, and was wondering, is there anything real special about all these places? There are a lot of different locations, are any of them interesting? What are some cool things I could do, that people wouldn't normally think of? I haven't really been to any towns outside of the owns you go too for the quests.. but I haven't done the oasis quest or Those! or the one at Paradise falls. What are your favorite quests? What is something fun I can do?

And I have all DLC too. Did all the main quests in them, but I don't think there are other quests..

You could try collecting things to display in your house. Go out and explore the Wasteland looking for cool junk to put on your shelf or around the bed. There'a all kinds of things you could collect like teddybears, baseballs, tin cans, empty bottles, pre-war books, Chinese weapons and clothing, garden gnomes, etc.

doesn't seem too great.. I just have an intact garden gnome, a piece of my brain, and a vault-tec lunch box.

The quests will only take you to maybe 1/3 of the game content. So for instance, you probably haven't been to:

Tacoma Park
Deathclaw Sanctuary
Fort Constantine
Cliffside Shacks
Sniper Shack
Hubris Comics
Mama Dolce's
Bethesda Ruins
Chryslus Building
Vault 108
National Guard Depot
Corvega Factory
Falls Church
Mason District
Roosevelt Academy
dikeerson Tabernacle Chapel

Just to name a few...

Well you could just go out and explore, see if you can find any new building. There's lots of buildings in the Capital Wasteland, most that aren't even connected with any quests. Just see how many you can find, loot whatever valueables are in them and kill the enemies.

Collecting all bobbleheads is a must. Ummm... if you haven't already, get the 'Explorer' perk, which shows you every location marker in your Pip-Boy 3000, then visit every single place.

I would visit L'Enfant Plaza and L'Enfant South for the Lulz.

Nothing is cooler than discovering an unmarked location, like Rockopolis, and the shack that contains the Liberty Rifle. So are unmarked quests, like the Nuka Cola Clear quest.

Or go streaking from on side of the wasteland to the other. Cause you know, that's fun....

1) Go to your home base and stash all your items. Pick 3 weapons (no uniques), and a few explosives. Put on one outfit (no power armor or CSA). Grab a limited amount of ammo, meds, food and water.

2) Turn your HUD all the way off.

3) Have your spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, child, friend, whoever, “fast-travel” your character to any location, while you’re not watching.

4) Find your way home without I) viewing your HUD or the world map, and II) without picking up any more clothing/armor or weapons (unless one of yours breaks).

If that’s too easy, adjust:
Take less ammo and fewer meds.
Turn up the difficulty.
Impose a goal before you return home (i.e., kill at least one of each type of animal, or robot, or ghoul, or even one of each type of enemy; stay away at least 10 days; accomplish while suffering from a case of 500 level radiation poisoning; explore a building while only walking backwards, etc.)
