Good Karma Playthrough help..

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 4:23 pm

So I've been reading up on the different paths I can take... and heres how I want everything to turn out... How would I manage this? What would I have to skip and whos quest lines do I need to complete?

Mr. House left in charge of the Strip (Quest line started)
The NCR allied with me but not in charge of the strip (If they have to be instead of House I'm fine with that, I just don't wanna skip too many quests) (Questline almost done)
The Brotherhood alive and my ally (Quest line finished)
The Boomers alive and my ally (Quest line finished and they are allied)
Followers of the Apocalypse alive and my ally (Quest line started)
Goodsprings my ally (Quest line finished)
Novac My ally (Quest line started)

Freeside... I don't care (???)
Great Kahns.. havn't learned enough about them (???)
The Strip... I don't care as long as I can still gamble :D (Quest line started)
Kings... Havn't learned enough about them (???)

Caesar's Legion completely wiped out (Currently murdering the entire population of The Fort including Caesar)
Same with Powder Gangers (Not sure if theres a leader to wipe out in this case)
Same with the Fiends (Quest line finished)
Same with Yes Man (Not sure how to kill him)

I wanna know who I should side with and what I might have to skip in order for everything to turn out like I listed. My mistake, I just realized my post had no point.. lol..

You can do all that except for the Brotherhood. House wants the Brotherhood wiped out and there's no way you can talk him out of it.

Well... once house asks I'm gotta kill him.. I refuse to kill my favorite faction! If I kill house can I still gamble?

If you want House out of the way as well because of the Brotherhood, then you'll have to select winning side. If you pick the NCR, then they will control the Strip. You other option is siding with Yes Man.

With house dead you can still gamble at any casino, if you want to get rid of the fiends just kill the three bounties given to you at McCarren and kill their leader in vault 3. The Khans can be persuaded so they will not be an issue, in order to assure the brotherhood aids the NCR make sure the current elder stays in power. Goodspring is easy, just help them out against the powder gangers. For Novac assist Boone and resolve the situation at repccon (ask around you will get a quest for it). Boomers, just follow the questline and completing bonus objective doesnt hurt. As far as I know house must be dealt with if you wish to pursue a future with the NCR.

My advice is to have a high speech skill, it also doesn't hurt to have high medicine or science, I have found them useful in diallouge.

Then you're not doing a "Good Karma" playthrough. Killing Brotherhood of Steel nets you no good or bad karma gain. Killing House nets you bad karma. If you understand the past history of the BoS, you'll understand why you can't talk them into tolerating House, or talk House out of destroying their base of operations out in the Mojave.

iv already played thro as NCR and i can tell u a few thigns about the factions u listed.

Theres a ton of NCR side quest and stuff that awarded good karma in many instances.

SPOILER SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

SPOILER SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

The NCR leader will give u quest to go and seek out these different factions and get them to either ally with you or leave.

Great Khans- Talk to the Papa kahn, and do the speech option to break up alliance with ceasers legion ( it wont work but still do it) walk out side and his adviser regis will talk to u saying what needs to be done to break up the alliance.
1. Talk to regis and u need to find him proof that the legion will betray him. Along with papa kahn and regis, there shuld be some emessary sitting with them at the dinning table. Find his quaters in the same building where they eat. Its right next to Papa kahns room. Inside his foot locker steal his journal or watever and show it to pap kahn. BEWARE THAT THIS WILL AWARDED BAD KARMA FOR STEALING. However showing the journal does not awarded bad karma. There is a speech check you can do, but when i did it the quest broke and i was unable to complete. After that go down to the great kahn drug lab and get the quest from the lady that does the drugs, then go to cottonwood cove ( the legion base by nelson) and find the drug runner named andy that is cruicified, release him and go back to the drug lady and she and the guy will then side with you. Talk to papa kahn and he will give you another quest, complete it and your done with them ( just follow the quest and what it says)

2. The brotherhood i believe you must get the paladin to overthrow the current elder and he will be on NCR side. I am not sure how this works because i broke this quest too. If you do all the elders quest and get to the point where he lifts the lockdown and says it will take a few days, then you talk to the paladin and tell him about the rule that the elder violated and the paladin decideds to challange the elder in court or watever the quest WILL BREAK. so only do one side and do not do the other.

3. You gotta do something about Mr. House as one of the quest. Im not sure what but i just killed him, idk if theres a peaceful solution (but im sure there is)

4. For followers, novac, and the towns all u gotta do is do their quest in town and gain fame for those factions. They really have no dealings in the main story or the final battle. Like with the followers you can convert the power at Helios 1 to all the area and gain some rep with them. Novac do the come fly with me quest, go and help the brahmin farmer with the brahmin being killed at night, and do help ranger andy in the unmarked side quest and i think thats enough to be idolized. To be idolized with goodsprings can only be done at the start of the game. Do the entire tutorial and at one part in the tutorial u have to save the girl at the waterpumps being attacked by the geckos. You also have to fix the saloons radio (i believe) help rico and defend the town against the powder gangers. I think they might have been one other quest/thing you can do but im unsure.

5. For the boomers just do all the quest they give you, these include Volare and the rising of the bomber in the lake.

6. The kings have a side quest that you can called G.I blues. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE OPTIONAL STUFF ALSO. If you dont the Kings and NCR will fight, but if you do they will side with each other and become allies (however, SPOILER, pacer will be killed)

7. For the fiends, in the main NCR base by New vegas, its the airport one, theres a series of bounty quest that have you take out key targets in the fiends, and you can also enlist the help of first recon in one of the quest. basically do almsot all the quest in base, not only will u get alot of xp and ncr fame, but most of them deal with either the fiends, gun runners, or around the camp operations (such as finding spies/bombs). Also theres a great kahn quest where you have to deliever a drug delievery to the main leader guy, doing this will turn you friendly with all the fiends in their main base. I did this to sneak in and get close to the leader, then assassinated him and just walked out without having to kill all the fiends in the base. However fiends outside will still be hostile. Also you can find the missing ranger in the base. There are traps leading up to where he is and if you have a doctors bag then he can be healed and you can either convince him to fight on his own, fight with you, or leave and get back to base. However everytime an enemy fired a shot at him they headshot him right away and he died. He was really useless so i told him just to go back to base.

8. i went thro and killed every powder ganger in the correctional facility. But i talked to, i believe it was, the sheriff and he said the main leader went up north. I have yet to find out where they went.

9. I figured for Yes Man just kill him and benny. Benny is in the Tops casino and yes man is in the backroom of benny's room in the Tops casino .

I hope that helps, its most of the stuff i can get from the top of my head. Also save before doing the protect the NCR pres mission. just a tip.

Well I mean I kinda do understand why I just dont' wanna kill off the Brotherhood.
