That would be awesome. (IIRC Hugh Laurie was Douglas Adams preferred choice to play Aurthur in Hitchhiker's Guide.)

I think Rene Whatshisface sounds a bit like hugh laurie anyway (at least in the gruffness). As long as he doesnt turn into another shape after he turns into a pudle of goo, I'm happy.

He's a better role model type character, not that he can't play other roles, which he does very well. He fills out the wise and calm individual well.. But House is supposed to be kind of an eccentric, a genius, and a social oddity.

aye, but it is just his voice, and not him... I think he has a very iconic voice, both calm and mad.
