Should I get New Vegas For Xbox360 or PC? [POLL]

Post » Tue Jan 11, 2011 6:45 pm

I'm debating as to whether to purchase Fallout NV for Xbox 360 or PC.

I'm concerned that the graphics on the Xbox aren't going to be as good as those on the PC.

My system specs are:

Windows 7 x64

8GB RAM

i5 Processor

ATI Radeon HD5770 Video Card

Out of everything that I've read, this is more than enough to run the game at it's whole capacity. However, on the Xbox one sometimes experiences diminished quality.

Furthermore, if purchased for 360, it eliminates the possibility for game modifications.

The only reason that I would buy it for the 360 is for the gaming experience. Because I find it easier to control, and that the display would be larger etc. But I'm not sure If it would be worth it.

Give me your feedback on which system you think I should purchase it for, which one you're going to purchase it for, and why.

If you have a computer that can run it well you will get a lot more out of it with mods and user content. Also, i bet this will be locked shortly.

PC. You could plug in a controller, and attach it to your TV, and get the same experience as on the 360, but with higher graphics settings, higher FPS, and mods.

If your computer can run it with better graphics i would get pc, if not 360. I voted PC because it will have mods available pretty much a week after it is released.

PC because mods can fix a lot of the bugs the consoles can't thus killing the reliance on the company to fix them all

Thanks for all the good suggestions guys.

So far it looks like I'm leaning towards the PC. That was my initial feeling about it as well.

Anymore opinions and feedback?

Well as long as you have a PC which can handle the game, it's the only option to consider. If you have concerns like easier control or bigger screen /w the 360 version, you can easily plug your big TV to your PC or use a controller.

yeah definitely for the PC, some games are good for consoles and some games are good for PC, any game with a mod community > console.

if you happen to have ur TV in the same room as your PC, all u would need are a video cable converter DVI-to-VGA converter, and an aux cable(optional).... this will allow you to plug the tower directly into the TV if u want to relax and play leisurely, assuming you have the xbox-PC controller...

this is how i played a few of my games like deadspace, bioshock, and sometimes fallout 3 so far. its the best of both worlds really...

PC, because it's not a 360  nah, jks, you can get better graphics, ypu can mod and all, and I think you can use a 360 controller too.

If you don't get it for PC I'm going to have to beat you with your own ram.

lol but seriously get it for PC. Community bugfixes, mods and the dev console are godsends for a Gamebryo game, and on top of those you get a mouse and keyboard! No more needing VATS to hit anything!

The more i read your posts the more i think you need to give a decent game pad a try! I wouldn't recommended it for a game that requires excessive menu surfing like Fallout, but many of us elitist FPS players prefer them.

PC also has the plus that you can plug an Xbox controller into it (or wireless one in) and play it that way, so you get the best of both worlds. (I love the keyboard/mouse combo though, so intuitive)

No proper elitist would ever use a control scheme that actively limits how fast they can turn.
