[REQ] - no karma or faction notifications

Is it possible to remove the karma sound/notification and the faction pop-up (not the passive notification in this case) without a FOSE implementation?

I've gotten so used to it being gone (from FWE) that it's so distracting to hear it.

On that note, the XP sound needs to go. I don't need to be startled by a timpanic boom every time I open a lock...

I'll probably be making these changes to my game. I can upload them when I'm done. However, I don't think it is really going to take DarN to long to get his UI out. Will you use that when it comes out or do you prefer the bigger (default) UI?

I'll probably use Darn.

That said, I'd enjoy knowing how to do this myself. I think I could figure out the XML part, but killing the noise is the more important thing to me.

Actually, it looks like someone has already created a karma version. I haven't tired it out yet, but here you go:

When you look in the file you'll see there are silent sound files. Whenever you want a sound to go away in the game, you have to replace the appropriate sound file with a silent version. To find out the names of the sound files, and folder structure, you have to use something like BSA Commander that allows you to extract all the sounds out of the archives.
