Imperial Nights: Stealth, Magic & Strength

Roleplay setting:
The roleplay is set about 20 years after the oblivion crisis and will primarily be set in and around the Imperial City. the curse of the Cowl of Nocturnal has been lifted and the guild is operating from their secret guildhall.
although things might change during the roleplay.

Background Info:
In the Imperial Nights roleplay series (yes there have been more) the thieves of Tamriel, especially in the metropolis of the Imperial City, are divided in classes with different specialisations. currently all 'subclasses' of thieves are allowed to join the guild.

The three groups of thief classes are:
Skills:
"Practice made perfect"

the skills are the average thief who relies on his skill to stay hidden and out of trouble, without many advantages such as a good spell or intimidation to help them they are the most common thief.

Illusionists:
"Why pick a lock if you can just open it with a spell?"

Illusionists are mages who've chosen to use magic to steal, using various spells to simplify the act of theft and burglary. although many spells have been foud resourceful and many Illusionists have found themselves certain specializations such as visibility magic, personality influencing spells or the use of fortifications there are few illusionists who can utilise spells of all schools for the purpose of stealing

Bandits:
"We knock first, and hard"
a rare sight in the city itself, the bandit uses his physical strength and ability to intimidate to rob without much hindrance, usually without violence. Few bandits work solitary and they often rely on teamwork with often one dealing with the heist while the other takes care of the escape.
Guild policy dictates bandits may use force as long as they don't kill.

Usually the three groups don't try to deal or even meet with the others but they won't let it interfere with guild business.
(note, there can be middle coices like a skill who uses the shadow ability frequently or a sneaky bandit)

Roleplay outline:
the roleplay will be open ended with the first night 'introductions' (just write a good opening post for your character showing their personal style) followed by a big heist with all characters (I want at least one of each group) where they are forced to cooperate as a team which obviously would give trouble at first.
(Ideas for the major heist are welcome we use the best suggestion)

1) No character control
2) No mind reading
3) No sudden plot twists without my aproval (which mean if you got a good idea PM it to me and I'll see if we can use it)
4) Be Realistic
5) No werewolves or special chars
6) Normal rp rules
7) Romances are welcome, keep it clean for the children
8) I'd prefer if we kept to 1 or 2 characters per player
9) I am the boss in this roleplay.
10) Please PM the sheets to me (Cirith) before posting.
11) Have fun

Brief History:born the fourth son of Lord Andre Cirith Samuel was raised in a wealthy family in Colovia near Anvil. being the fourth son of a nobleman gave a few perks but eventually Cirith ran away from hime at age 12 because he felt he did not fit in in that life.
long story short: Cirith started at the bottom of the ladder on the waterfront and because of his talents he became a successful pickpocket, with many failures and and near arrests Sam became more cautious and made back up plans and scouted new areas before committing crimes there. thanks to that change in style Samuel managed to become a Shadowfoot, which is a high rank for a pickpocket, but Sam has often proven that his talents are useful on a special heist too.

Sam is now in a safe house of the guild in the Temple District preparing for the morning crowd on the market.

Name: http://fc09.deviantart.com/fs44/f/2009/091/e/7/eli_by_sandara.jpg
Nickname: Kain.
Age: 27.
Gender: Male.
Race: Nord.
Birthsign: The Warrior.

Class:
Kain is a warrior at heart, taking the role of a Bandit within the thieves guild using force and brute strength to intimidate his targets into handing over what he needs.

Focus: Combat.

Skills & Talents:
Strong, Kain's speciality lies within the field of combat, trained both to wield a blade and to fight with only his hands and feet. Kain also has sharp senses, his sight is almost perfect and his hearing is similar to that of an elves. Though not a talent, Kain's deep and rough voice is often used as part of his work, helping him to intimidate his targets and get him where he needs to go.

General Appearance:
Strong, tall and powerful, he has a dark shade of olive skin. Dark orange coloured piercing eyes glow, often narrowed or squinted Kain appears an evil character, but knowing this he often uses it to intimidate opponents. His large build is too often used for intimidation, for he is far larger than any other normal Nord. Scars, something Kain certainly doesn't lack, fierce battles and epic fights have played there part on the young mans hardened body, and the reminder of each encounter lay embedded into his rough skin. He has short spiked white hair, which really seems to compliment his orange eyes and his dark skin. Kain has a well toned body, years of training and hard exercise had done him a world of good for his fitness and his impressive appearance too. Across his chest Kain has a large tribal like scar that seems to glow a dark orange, neither him nor anyone around him knows how or when he obtained this, the scar continues down onto the upper part of his arm.

General clothing:
Thick skinned, Kain feels little need for armour. He wears large spiky black boots as well as spiked metal greaves both engraved with a dark orange tribal pattern, similar to that on his chest. Although he wears gauntlets and pauldrons of the same nature as his boots and greaves, he stays bare chested, relying on his toned upper body to keep away the cold. Around his waist Kain wears a large leather belt, a long cloak like material is hung from the belt and trails to his feet, wrapping itself around his legs as a sort of robe bottom. It, as much of his equipment is, is tattered and torn from battles and fights.

Weapons:
Two large black katana style swords hang often from his belt, a spiked handle attacked to a black hilt styled the same as normal cutlass, though these are rarely used for actual combat, they are razor sharp.

Misc. Items:
Kain carries with him at all times a map of the cities region he may be in, usually bought from the local inn, as well as a few herbs and plants he has collected on the route to any town, though not a fan of Alchemy, he is well aware of the money it brings. He will also often carry a small amount of gold. He also often carries bandages and lockpicks when working at night for any injuries he may obtain or any locked doors he may come across.

Motto:
Scars themselves are the lessons of life left permanently on your mind, you have not truly won a fight if the enemy cannot do as much as lay a cut in your flesh.

Personality:
Kain is overconfident and lacks judgement of when something is out of line or unfair, he often has to be calmed by the people around him. He also has a tendency not to favour the other guys, something necessary when working close with the guild, and instead often puts himself first. Kain will eliminate anyone that does a wrong doing towards him, using any means possible to intimidate or scare his target. Headstrong and confident, Kain is not invincible, something he claims himself to be, and although it is not his intention he is often viewed to be boasting. Kain loves a challenge, taking pleasure in someone backing him into a corner and having to fight his way out, wanting the more powerful enemy to step up their game, so that he can try to overcome them, despite their superiority and takes much pleasure in pain and injury. Many people believe him to be something super natural, something he really plays up to, often laughing at his victims in a sarcastic manner as they cower in fear.

Brief History:
Born and raised in northern Cyrodiil. His parents had left Skyrim and settled in Bruma. Kain had grown during hard times, the ever looming Oblivion Crisis, and the fall of the Empire as civilisation knew it had led his family into poverty. Theft and violence was the only way for them to survive and Kain by 10 years old had learnt the trick of the trade, it was a bar brawl around his 15th birthday when Kain was arrested and thrown into the depth of the Bruma dungeons. But his potential had been scouted and he was soon out of prison and working for the guild.

It hadn't taken him long to advance through the ranks, moving fast, using his size and skill to fight his way to the top, and was now a powerful and reputated man within the bandit section of the guild. Kain had never met the Gray Fox, and though he admired him for his skill and sly ways he was not overly pleased with the policiy that prevented him from killing the people he stole from. Kain's latest mission requires him to work outside of the Imperial City, stopping people as they come in and often trying to remove thier valuble goods, however the guards are onto what he is up too and a chase has lead him into the depths of a nearby cave.
