I just have done what you said. Battlefield 3's graphics svcks as hell if we compare with Crysis 2 or Cryengine 3. Lowres textures, polycount is below 300000. Actually Cryengine 3 was made for multiplatform support, and provides much more graphics than any other game in this caregory. If you want better graphics, play the original Crysis.

but anyway i saw Crysis 2 gamplay moves and now i see exactly what i saw via youtube. frankly i thought i'll see DX 11 support with release and better visual quality of game.. but i see just that youtube videos after clicking on Crysis shortcut..

i played original Crysis too many times so i tired a bit
i would like to play Crysis 2 with Crysis graphics =P

Let's face it,Battlefield 3 will beat Crysis 2 in graphics when there will be no DX 11 Patch and High Resolution Texture Pack.

The graphics were nice but not amazing. Hell I havn't bothered upgrading my graphics card for the sheer fact that most of the new games turn out to be console ports.
This game was promised to be a PC game first, implys to more than just graphics sir. You are right this game has serious problems, that includes bugs that never should have made release, gameplay (and graphics) that are dumbed down and streamlined for consoles. Weak and/or removed abilities. 6 hours from start to finish on veteran for SP. The storyline from C1 and C2 are like two magnents with the same polarity, they don't go together. These are just a few of the serious problems I can think of.
You stated people wouldn't notice it wasn't DX11 if EA hadn't mentioned it and no one else said anything to the contrarey. But then, you are probably refering to yourself. If this is the case, do yourself a favor, sell your computer, and go buy an Xbox 360 and just exclusivly game on that, PC gaming is obviously wasted on you.

BF3 will have two versions - for consoles and for PC. and devs officially say, it will be REALLY different versions, two codes, one of them - optimized for consoles users, but another one - not castrated PC version and you know what? i believe it

Crysis is good brand for me as well as crytek, becouse i'm really fan of first part
i cannot to say i regret about buying and playing Crysis 2 - single was fine and i gained fun greatly
but..
next time this devs will release another game, i will be carefull and will take a look at project before buy it
