The best anti-cheat is a vote kicking system

Post » Mon Sep 27, 2010 1:51 am

Just left another game destroyed by yet another hacker (speed/shooting while cloaked, etc). I appreciate Crytek's efforts in dealing with this problem, but I have to ask, why can't they give gamers some control over their own game, and give us a simple vote kick system.

In a slightly related note, does anyone know how the server admin functions in this game...if at all. I would definitely consider getting my own server if I could lay out the ban hammer myself.

Noobs will votekick people who are much better than them. Also it would allow for a party to essentially run a server w/o an admin present

Yea i like that idea. A flag note on that person's GUI account and it will be sent to the admins or the system to review their stats and their behavior ingame :D

Black Ops had a system similar to the one suggested, but i dont know how effectively it works. A few of my friends came under review a few times, but luckily nothing ever happened to them
