Hacking is getting out of control

Post » Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:02 pm

Me and my friends strictly play hardcoe mode, and I just can't stand it any more. This is the first time I've ever been so frustrated with hackers, and on top of that paying 59.99 for a game with a terrible anti-cheat system to get rid of hackers.

We need these stuff for servers.

1. Spectating
2. Report Button
3. Vote-kick when no admins are on
4. Demo
5. Theatre mode for more proof

& 4. A working anti-cheat program with daily/every other day scan of reported users, and have actual people doing their job to tell who's a hacker and who's not.
__________

On top of that, it wouldn't matter if you banned their account or not, seeing how they downloaded the game and using cracks/serials to get it "verified". Seriously, this is TERRIBLE.

I paid $59.99 + tax which is 0.13 = $67.79 CDN for a game with hacker(s) in every game.. It's like they are bots.. they are on the servers 24/7 just to kill this game faster than homefront. It's like a competition. Which game is going to die first?

I've seen lots of fun ones. People letting off entire clips cloaked, aimbots a plenty, one getting into the geometry of the map and firing out. I guess enforcing rules in your own programming is hard.

Which is why Crytek should implement the stuff Zyinxz suggested in addition to their current anti-cheat system. To be honest, the possibility that the kick system may be abused to kick the occasional innocent player isn't nearly as bad as having hacker infested servers.

Bad idea. I'd get kicked every game... :(

I think this is the biggest hacked game on the market. i though MW2 was bad, but this game raqes mw2 in hackers. i would wager more than 50% of the players in crysis 2 are hackers.

if they do not get this resolved by the end of the week this games online will become un-salvageable. Games that take a week to patch online play do to hackers die quick deaths. Do to the fact that people have stopped playing the game. kinda like MW2 :)

50% u MAD? more like 10% which is unstable enough.

It seems a lot more than 10% in the past few days. I think thats due to more hackers and less legit players playing because of it shifting the ratio. Theres been more than one in every server I've joined lately. On top of the aimbots and unlimited energy and speed they highlight all enemies so they know where you are and even worse it looks to me like some of them have modified weapons w insane rate of fire and 0 recoil etc.

I do agree people will abuse, but the system will not do us any favour. We're force to join a different hardcoe game, and there aren't much out there. At night time, the most I've seen was 7 available servers on a weekday.

The best they can do is have a full vote-report system. The way this work is if one person knows the other guy on the other team is hacking, have a vote YES/NO with a demo included. Seriously, I honestly think games without demos are plain stupid now a days. They can't always rely on the system to ban them "someday", "sometime" "next month".

That's not going to cut it, if there is a majority vote of yes on a vote-reported person, it should be top priority with a demo with the ability to look in first person view, 3rd person view and free roam.

guys... patience, they said they added anti cheat software to servers. they need some time to "study" what are hackers and cheaters doing how are they doing all of that and then theyll easily just put a lock on it and boom H&C free ! thats how they all do it... for instance Starcraft 2 had no anti cheat system and people were raging how people are hacking it and blizz took some time to study how are they doing it and BOOM no more hackers at all

Stop comparing Crytek to Blizzard. It's not even fair.

Seriously, its ridiculous, this game seems to have traded every anticheat measure for COLLECTIBLE DOGTAGS! (Whenever I criticize Crysis 2 I mention the dogtags) I hate playing games with people having 40 kills and no deaths, shooting me from across the map and 1 hit killing with scarabs. Why is there no report button? maybe there is, but its obviously well hidden from me. I feel like Crysis 2 is one of those games with no admins or support and they wont fix anything. The last EA game I bought was the Battle for Middle Earth. Its a 5 year old game, its great, and because of EA's uselessness at their own job it has about 100 players now. I thought that Crysis 2 would be broken in maybe 4 years. Not 2 weeks. FFS, maybe the reason why Call of Duty is the best game on the market is because they hired all the developers with an iq over 100 who knew about concepts like 'beta testing' and 'ban systems'. Im so mad at the myriad inadequacies of C2. Get your **** together, I paid good money for this.

Last weekend the cheating was so out of control, I gave the game a bit of a break this week and came back online last night. Out of roughly 6-7 of my favorite servers I ran into multiple cheaters. I did finally get into a few cheat free matches and actually got some decent exp for once, but that's was a rarity. My enjoyment for this game is dwindling down more and more each time I play it, and it's almost to the point of giving up on it completely. I don't want to, but I feel if I leave it alone while Crytek figures out some sort of anti-cheat, by the time they do I won't be interested anymore.

10% is still alot.

Even if there was say 1000 players online, 10% of them hackers, Thats 100 hackers, and it's normaly 1 per server so thats 100 servers with hackers online at that time.

So 10% seems a reasonable Percentage.

Just leave the server and stop crying, cuz thats what "hackers" want you to do.
