they havent done anything. crysis2 is made for the xbox360 and ported to ps3 and pc. crytek's marketing was a lie to get launch day sales up.

So many people are complaining endlessly about the lack of Direct X 11 support when many many more people (myself included) aren't even able to play the Multiplayer component (arguably the largest, most important part) of the game. I have a reasonably high-end system but to be honest, the game looks great as it is. While i'm sure DX11 would make the game look (minutely) better, personally i'd rather be able to play, in full, the game I paid for(at retail mark-up of +$30 because i'm on super-expensive mobile broadband at the moment).

The game is full of motion blur to hide the uglyness of the environment. The onyl thing they did good is the weapon animation.

Two things: first off, the PS3 version looks and performs as well as the 360 version (and even lacks the screen tearing the 360 version has), so declaring the PS3 version a port is silly.

Secondly, even declaring the PC version a port is silly. I've seen this complaint a fair amount on various forums, so I'm forced to conclude most people don't know what that means.

A port means the game was made on and for a single system, then that code was converted to a new platform. In other words, all initial decision were made for a specific set of hardware. The CryEngine3 (and Crysis 2) are multiplatform. That is entirely different from a port. It means that decisions were made to accommodate all 3 platforms, to ensure all 3 versions are able to perform well.

Obviously, making sure things were running smooth on the PS3 and 360 meant the PC version couldn't take advantage of every strength PCs offer, but that doesn't make it a port. I hope this helps.

Hahaha. What i meant was, because traffic is so expensive to buy on Mobile Broadband, i had to pay the retail price for a hard copy instead of getting the digital download version (which is $30 cheaper). Unfortunately i live in a country which is renowned for it's price gouging, especially in the electronics/software sector.

Hi crytek! How about you give us a date for when we are going to get what we PAID FOR? Unbelievable you market your game saying it's a DX11 game!
Give us an estimated date, or atleast tell us how much you screwups have done on the dx11 patch!

Soon ?

PC gamers my ass. You are all crying about not having DX11 when you can barely play the **** game, sort out the bugs that prohibit you from playing the game first before complaining about the graphics. The game looks great for the time being, stop crying about not getting the best out of the PC your parents bought you because you get everything that you want. Spoilt little ****.

I really dislike people who think that everybody who would have liked Dx11 in full game is a little kid, U sir don't know anything about anyone. Please don't think you know the whole fan base of crysis2.

They need to fix the bugs and glitches and anti cheat and they ALSO need to patch in Dx11.

Does the game look great? On consoles yes, on pc? Not that special.
Crytek is famous for crysis 1 and warhead, the graphicall boundaries they pushed. Crysis 2 brings nothing new, graphics that aren't special and gameplay like 1 of a dozen, nobody will remember crytek for crysis2.

Btw, I am well over 18 years old and I work to buy components for the pc if u can't understand that people where the graphic card costs as much as a console on its own aren't happy with the current graphics than I must say sir, U have to be a console user.

As I've said in previous posts I believe that there won't even be a DX11 patch..

It just doesn't make sense. Why patch a game after it's release when it could have been included from the get go?

If memory serves the only other games that have received a DX11 patch was because they had been released prior to the release of DX11 itself.

The game looks amazing and I enjoyed the storyline although it's crying out (no pun intended) for some 'POM'. Crytek could have at least left that in..

To other Users Who say the graphics are fine as they are...

I disgree. I've played and completed the game, and although there are lovely scenes, i'm still thinking in my mind....lovely for dx9 or a console port. On pc, I hate the full blur screen thing ,it gives me a sore head.
I've followed crytek from a demo they made as a nvidia demo. It was an island with dinosaurs on it...x-isle was it? Then Far cry, a dx9 game before half life 2 or doom 3. then crysis 1 and my god they pushed the boundary. No one has broken that since. Can you understand our expectations? We were expecting better than crysis 1 in terms of weapons, gfx, environment, gameplay. This to me doesn't even reach the standard of the 1st.
If you were like me you believed crytek in all the previews saying that they arn't ignoring the pc users, and they hope crysis 2 will be the 'benchmark' crysis 1 was.... with these words, it told pc users to expect better gfx than crysis 1. to do that they would of had to had at least dx10 never mind dx11.

I've been waiting for this 'announcement coming soon'. Has it been a month since they said that? I expect it to be at least 4 months before they say anything on this.

Whats made me angry is how crytek are treating us. They didn't even tell us it was dx9 only. remember that! we had to wait for US to buy the game and tell us, which is just disgraceful to the customer. They tell us not to believe in anyother site on info on dx11, but thats the only thing we had to rely on for info on dx9 only as crytek said nothing. and are still the same.

I have questions regarding crytek 2. Lets pretend its a ywar ahead and dx11 is out.

1.Why did you not tell your community it was dx9 only, even after they bought it?
2.why has dx11 takin so long?
3. why ws the ending a video and not the ingame engine as crysis 1 was
4. Do you think the launch could of been handled better? your community was telling you at the time if u were reading the posts
5. Whos decision was it to ignore your customers questions?

Crysis 2 is fun to play as i hated the new cod games, but we were just expecting what crytek told us, a new benchmark in pc gaming. since then They'ev done nothing but ignore people who paid money, looking back i should of just DL'd this game as all i wanted was the singleplayer
