Why did they even put shotguns in the MP?

So far it has taken 3 or more shots to kill with either shotgun. Doesnt matter if im 10 feet away with the Jackal and they arent moving. It still takes 5 - 6 shots. Making them actually **** useful at close range wouldnt disrupt the balance of the game. Get your heads out of your asses Crytek. I think the average forum goer on here could balance the MP better than you have.

I myself have done pretty well killing people with the Marshall. IT ROCKS!!!!! Sure lag is killing me from becoming Shotgun God but I'm trying.... Trying so hard to be shotgun number one....

Shotguns are balanced fine. The usual OHK and range restriction balancing seen in FPS games doesn't work in Crysis2 because of the crazy menouverability of players. Because of this, more shots are needed. Lag aside, shotguns still beat most weapons at close range, the only general exception being SMGs or a headshot from any weapon.

JACKAL: try using the alternate fire mode. Rocks.
MARSHALL: Rocks.

Use them at really close range and aim for the head. I hate to say this man but out of the other unlocks, the shotguns are way fine. They are kings of one shots in proper range and positioning.

I didn't have issues with shotguns, so long as my framerates weren't sub-30.

Yes your right. The Jackal single shot is a whole different gun. Thanks for the suggestion. My thoughts have changed on it now

Gotta be within 10 meters of someone before you even think of firing the Marshall, lol. Just stick to Majestic secondary until you know you'regoing to be close :(

I havent tried them in reg mode, but in Pro mode they work good, up close the marshall is 1 hit kill
