Glitches in Skyrim?

Post » Wed Aug 12, 2009 3:47 pm

So what do you guys think? Are you hoping to find some of Oblivion's helpful glitches in Skyrim?

I'm not talking about problematic glitches or bugs, I'm talking about the various exploitable glitches found in Oblivion, the ones that gave you an advantage of some sort...

So your asking for exploits? I thought those were just bugs that were missed by developers?

None. I found that playing Oblivion without using the exploits made it alot more enjoyable.

Not on some. The scroll duplication glitch worked after all the updates.

There were only two exploitable glitches fixed by patches in Oblivion: Infinite Money Glitch and Item duplication via arrows glitch. Since you could duplicate items via scrolls and sell duplicated items, those two glitches being fixed was a non-issue as far as exploiting the game was concerned. There was no reason to ever delete updates to exploit in Oblivion for PC or console users.

I want the item duplication glitch. I loved glitching a room full of watermelons or, even better, Sigil Stones. Man a hundred or more sigil stones exploding out of the air in front of me would grind my old computer to a halt.

Speaking of that particular hilarious glitch:

Someone obviously did not like the adoring fans. And yes I know most people have already see a watermelon landslide video or two but some people haven't.

Fair enough, but glitches can be great fun too... making it rain fruit for an hour is worth more laughes than it really should be. It also doesn't really ruin the difficulty of the game (as long as you're making it rain vegetables and melons rather than daedric weaponry or something with a meaningful sell value.) Of course you should never SAVE you game after making it rain produce of any significant quantity. The game has this annoying habit of remembering that fruit-themed unnatural disaster you created and oh god does it slow the game down when it has to deal with 10k physics modeled fruit that should not be but are and are also on a slope.

I hope they keep the scroll duping glitch just for for screwing around and having fun. First I'll finish the game w/out duping and then just dupe like 500,000,000,000 watermelons off a tall tower.
