Why isn't the PC version using all CE3 features

Look at this:

The Water looks sooo nice... on consoles!

Why?
Why don't we get this. I mean, come on. Crysis 2 is a joke graphics wise.

Will Crytek release a patch for better (much better) graphics at time?

The game and quite possibly the engine are incomplete. I urge you to please just be patient and wait just as I am for them to give us everything. They were pushed very hard and even the consoles have issues. EA set the release date and Crytek did the best they could with what they had. I would say be glad that it for the most part works. There have been 1 or 2 server updates so far so they are working on stuff but it may not just be something that we patch client side and it is server side instead. I know nothing of what has been in the server patches as Crytek has told nothing to my server provider Hypernia and probably hasn't told anyone what they put in them. All I know is that i dont have to babysit and restart the server every 2 hours like I did the first 2 days.

You realize you are comparing clean island water to dirty NYC water...and pre definied no physics Crysis 1 water to fully modeled real time physics Crysis 2 water. Crysis 1 had no actual ripples. Jump in Crysis 2 water and you can see the physics as the ripple shreads outwards, hits and bounces off surrounding objects, bends around things, etc. (Or throw something in Crysis 2 water.) In Crysis 1 water if you throw something you would get these weird foamy effect shaped like a ripple with no realtime effects.

And how bout going inside the water and looking at the floor. Crysis 1. Repeated bland ground texture with the same weed plant popping up every 3 meters. Crysis 1 - amazing looking rocky bottom of the sea with all sorts of plants and rocks.

Not to mention WATER CURRENTS. In one of the boats there is leaking oil and it dynamically flows in directions depending on how you move the water around it.

Totally agree, I don't know how much exact time they had to develop the game, but I wouldn't surprise me EA did it because of some marketing strategy [by the season of launch and the games to come... don't get what they are competing with] instead of a complete developing process (that takes time): finish the game, optimize for the 3 platforms individually, test sp and mp for bugs, leaks, etc.; plan a well security system for anti-hacking, verify the code for exploitable vulnerabilities, etc. Man, I mean, we really don't care how many times it could be delayed, as long as they give us a high quality product, just check the many times Gears of War 3 has been delayed and we're talking of a launch in only one platform, now this one in 3 platforms that work totally different online [PC classic server system (you pay for your PC components and the game at an almost cheap console-game cost -too expensive for a PC game), XBOX live (you pay a subscription for the service and get achievements), PS network (you don't pay for playing online)]...

I would have prefered a whole complete year of delay, for DX11 support, less problems, bugs, and all the reported problems and complains that have emerged up to today. But that's what happen when you have a sh**ty company behind as publisher (known for failures/total failures such as Battleforge, C&C4 -Victory Games? Really EA? Can't you handle it by your own? Then you should have left Westwood do the C&Cs, some NFS... you tell me)

Have you ever worked with a publisher? It svcks but its true this game was pushed out the door much like Win Vista was and its suffering because of it. I think that both EA and Crytek can learn from this just as microsoft did. But most things the developer has been told to keep a lid on it by their publisher until its complete and ready to be released. World of tanks has this issue with the developers and the community but have been slightly more open but not much. This is the usual practice and it just svcks for community interaction and comment collection for constructive ideas.

Telling us that the game is incomplete would fall under these guidelines so they cant just tell us that its not finished. And I also believe that they are working on the issues we are having and also some of the other features as well but this takes time. And I for one have no problem waiting for quality features than something that is pushed out like the game itself and is very buggy. I want what it was suppose to be not the rushed version. If this means that we are waiting for features until they are ready to be released with patches then so be it but at lease it will work and not just cause more issues.
