About Fallout 1 VATS

Post » Wed Aug 12, 2009 2:39 pm

I was just wondering about something that has been bothering me for a while. In the game a lot of people have told me to shoot the Deathclaws in the eyes. My question is, how do you target a certain part of the body? I have tried to point the cursor at their head and shoot, which occasionally gets a crit on them, but i don't know for sure. Can someone help?

I assume you do not know how to use the VATS? You see the picture of the gun on the bottom of the screen? Right click it. You would see a crosshair on the picture of the gun. That mean VATS on. Just attack the creature with that setting. You get to chose which part to shoot now. Remember it take more AP if you use VAT. Also, right click the weapon pic to revert back to normal setting.

Oh this is sad. There is no VATS in anything before Fallout 3 -- it's called targeted shots.

Also, if you picked the fast shot trait, then you can't make targeted shots.

Very sad is that in Fallout 3 you cant target eyes or when you attack with a baseball stick you cant target anything only just a whole body :(

There are vats in fallout one. But literally, they're not an acronym, so it's a little different.
