Okay, so, I got an unlock credit yesterday as I ranked up, and picked the Gausse under-barrel thinking it'd be like a 1-shot Gausse rifle or something. Then I shot a guy 3 times with it and as far as I can tell, other than funky sound effects, nothing happened. A few games later, I shot another guy with it, twice, and while the ground around him puffed up dust like it had been hit, he himself seemed to take no damage at all, and the killcam (He turned around and killed me, same for the fist guy) showed absolutely no effect, like I'd shot him with compressed air or something.

So, does anyone know what the bleeping hell the gausse under-barrel attachment does other than cost you an unlock slot and alert the enemy where you are so they can kill you?

I don't have it cause SCAR is a sniper rifle without additions anyway, and therefore I deny to use it, but I guess it is very accurate at long range... like a VERY long range. Not doing much of a damage though.

I've got the feeling, it's an attachment aimed to be used mainly in SP (due the relative high damage there yet very low ammo and rather late first appearence, I fits) but it seems, there was no way to make attachments SP-exclusive but only MP-exclusive (hologram/urban camo). Or it might be a anti-airstrike-attachment, also an option but I never could test it yet as I never had an airstrike since I unlocked it.

yep its for anti air purposes. ~3-4 shots WILL down a ceph gunship, and can be used as poor man's sniper too. It works for me if I use a assault scope

2 shots kill anyone. Aim for the head and you get an underbarell sniper rifle. It's an amazing unlock actually, if you know how to aim and what to do with it, especially for the SCARAB and guns with shorter effective range. Of course if you're one of the countless spray and spray noobs online, it won't be much use to you since it requires some skill using it.

the attachment is buged. It doesnt do anything. And for some it do alot. Played with my friend. he didnt even took any damaged from it.
