Crysis 2 backwards compatibility?

Anybody know if C2 will be compatible with C1 mods or if maps/levels made on sandbox 2 will be compatible/editable with sandbox 3 (should it be released) ?
Is it even possible for Crytek to make something like that work?

Also if anybody knows any good mods for me to download or can link me to some tutorials that would be cool =]
All comments, information and ideas welcome.

No, but sure there will be a way to make those mods compatible.
Like with any other engine when you make a new one some things change and everything made for a previous one must be redone. Like mods made for C1 that don't work on C Wars, but you can re-make them to work on both.

Would Crysis 1 in total (campaign and mp) be backwards compatible (with some work) in Cryengine 3? And if so, would in theory Crysis 1 work on consoles (again with some work/tweak as to accomodate the pressumebly not high enough specs of 360 and PS3)?

Just, a thought of a 360 gamer who has never played Crysis 1

if sandbox is given out with crysis2 on pc, and the right libraries of objects/entities are in there, its a highly likely classic maps will be replicated

I will be for sure working on replicated the original Crysis Wars maps, can't wait to get my hands on the game/engine!! :D
