Cheating is getting out of hands...

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 4:49 am

... that even most patient people cant take it anymore.

At first it was somewhat tolerable because cheaters played in ranked servers mostly, so I wandered around in unranked ones.

Now they are everywhere...

one example:

some guy level 7, had L-TAG with unlimited grenades and he was permanently cloaked, ltag's rate of fire was so fast that whole sanctuary map was filled with nades.

its just not acceptable.

I just ran into my first hacker in a ffa match, he had maximum mobility with a shotgun and headshotting everyone.
In mid game, another hacker joined with another aimbot and just stood in spawn spraying everyone.
These hackers are children with access to daddys credit card.

Nah, they are just playing on pirated version, since it works in multiplayer and even if you ban them they just make new account and continue playing

Not profit. It's a gross loss and a net loss at the same time. Game companies have to pay heavy fees for use of PB in their games. And it's NOT just a one time thing, it's a recurring fee on a periodic basis.

While I want PB myself in games, I can understand if a games company doesn't want to splurge for it. It doesn't make much business sense from a marginal anolysis standpoint.

Dice I Agree with PunkBuster can go to hell. There product svcks, I played APB and several other PB enabled games and hackers still ran rampant.

punkbuster works well in BC2 though, so again, ask DICE what they did to make PB work for them :)

my question is this. Consoles don't have the cheating problems nearly as bad or at all like PC games do, obviously they're doing something right. Why can't it be reproduced on the PC "platform"? Then again, this is a common sense question way above my primate brain . . .

Its funny because I PM'd Cry-adam and Cry-tom on how to do this and how to fix it before the hackers started (I didnt WANT them to start), and I still haven't gotten a reply
