No patch was ever confirmed, I have no idea why this website even posted such information. This thread is locked just the same as the others for trying to spread inaccurate information. When there are any big announcements regarding Crysis 2 they will be posted on gamesas, if you read something about a patch for example, but don't see it on gamesas.com, then it isn't genuine.


So do you have any news at all on an upcoming patch? Just saying this "information is not correct" isn't going to stop rumors. We need an official post from Crytek on this. Is there a patch in the works, why hasn't the community been updated as to the reason DX11 was left out? Is the PC version simply a Xbox Port?

Until we get some type of response on these questions you will continue to see rumors and inaccurate information.

DX11: Obviously there's some non-disclosure thing going on, otherwise someone would have posted. Your continuous asking is not going to magically get an answer.

Patch: Obviously there's a patch coming, as to when and what's in it, I doubt even Crytek know at this stage since they're working on fixing the problems.

And he'll keep deleting them. Are you slow or something? Tom is not a Crytek executive. Clearly he either doesn't know any more than we do or is not ALLOWED to answer the question yet. Spamming the boards with the same dumb questions is not helping.

I agree that Crytek should come out with an official announcement regarding what issues will be addressed in the next patch so people stop asking.

A DX11 patch is in the make, I'm sure about that. A Crytek employee was a bit too enthusiastic about it on Twitter yesterday. Topics regarding this were deleted. This employee even deleted this Tweet, or was forced to delete it (I think the latter...). Either way, it should be coming in the near future.

Furthermore, I agree with you of course. The game has been out for almost a week now and still there are loads of issues.

The tessellation in the new patch is great btw game looks 10x better then crysis 1 and it runs at 60fps on my 5200fx

Id rather a decent patch than a rushed one.

I agree with the OP to some extent.

A statement on wether or not the game will be patched to DX10 or DX11 is really needed - either yes or no. I am currently holding off playing the SP campaign in anticipation of the patch due this week. I hope that it will address some of the little niggles such as the nanocatalyst bug. If there is a DX11 patch in the works I would hold off playing until it arrives so I could be waiting a long time unless we get some kind of confirmation.
