Underking - Good or Bad?

Post » Tue Aug 18, 2009 8:12 am

I have a brief idea wh the Underking was but i havea pressing question, was he a good guy, or a bad guy as far as things go. Did he support the empire or not? how was he related to the king/s?

any info would be good.

The Underking being good or bad depends very much upon how you interpret the various stories (i.e. who he actually was) and whose side you would rather be on.

This may http://search.freefind.com/find.html?id=72791987&pageid=r&mode=ALL&n=0&query=underking. Bunch of books that make interesting reading. But a real lore buff could help you more!

Then search the forums for topics about the underking and read them.

It's a matter of opinion, and quite frankly, I'm sorry to say there is no cut and dry answer. :(

Well, having met him, in his cavern not so far from Daggefall, where he was surrounded by Ancient Vampires and Liches not to mention all the monsters I had to obliterate on the way down, I have to say that he sure has a scary abode. And he looked scary.

I think you will have to decide if necromancy and vampirism are good?

But he did (or does) business with people who are considered to be the powers of their day - and they do not hunt him down. Interesting eh?

I've never played Daggerfall, but I know he trapped four Blades in undeath and cursed Sancre Tor. From what I've read, he seems more of a Dagoth Ur type, who perceives what he does as good.

As an aspect of Shor, he is pure violence.

Can't blame him though for being all evil and that. All he wants is some love.

Bad wording there. Wulfharth was a bloody-minded sob. If he acted like Lorkhan, he did it mostly by killing elves.
Not Arctus though. He may have been the most virtuous fellow in that trifecta of backstabbers.
