As far as I know no one has even got the nano edition yet. I haven't gotten mine due to "manufacturing issues" I assume all the other nano editions are in the same boat? However, since no one has mentioned it on here that I've seen it may just be me having this happen. Leave it up to EA to screw up like this, never ordering from the EA site again, didn't even want to in the first place but the nano edition never came up from other retailers.
Also, the backpack was pretty much half of an extra $90, even if they would release it, that is a pretty expensive backpack, the nano edition was overpriced the way it was. The nano edition was handled by EA, Crytek had little to do with it. This game has already seen a lot of backlash, due to being on consoles, and the other changes from the first one, imagine the backlash that would happen to the next game(if this one even sells well enough for them to do the trilogy), if they were to take even more away from the bigger supporters. As the nano edition was for "the maximum Crysis fan", selling their exclusive items later, and possibly cheaper, would pretty much seal the fate of the next game. Personally, I think some people need to grow up, especially the people who didn't buy Crysis 2 just because it wasn't PC exlcusive, not even about the controls or anything else.
If they do actually do a next Crysis game, I would get it. However, since I ordered the nano edition this time, if they released the backpack or the statue as stand alone, I would NOT buy the collectors edition of the next game, if it were to have one, I would just get the regular version. If they just sell everything from the nano edition afterwords, who would buy the collectors edition of the next game, set on that precedent? People would just leave it thinking "they will release it later like they did with Crysis 2", and if no one orders the next collectors edition EA probably wouldn't release the items from it separately thinking there wasn't any interest in those items.
