Hi guys I just wanted to know How do I setup a Crysis 2 dedicated server . I finally have wooed my local Internet Service Provider to host a Crysis 2 server so that at least in Kolkata we have good pings and as EA and others dont care of pings we are getting its time that we stood up for ourselves . So just wanted to know the procude of setting up the server.

hey i am from kolkata also.It will be great if we get a server in kolkata.But remember if the host is slow i mean slow internet speed then we will all get horrible ping.I dought here in kolkata there is any ISP with that much bandwidth.And donot tell me the local cable wallas are planning to do it.

bro it is alliance doing it! .. no national company gives a damn about what they provide ..atleast now alliance is willing to give it a shot. And please dont doubt any bandwidth issues ... its only that its capped else you dont know what the infrastructure is capable of. I can show you LAN speeds of 4MBps and a direct Line from US at 6MBps . So dont doubt that they have bad bandwidth but they might cap it .

If i get less than 50 ping i will be very happy.I use airtel and get 88 to 100 ping to singapore servers.So when it will be ready.

We dont have any servers in Russia too! And have only 100-150 ms ping as minimums!

I mean WTF EA & Crytek? Why the heck you gave dedi only to some providers in euro countries and dont care about one of the biggest countries in a world like Russia? If you cant find hosters to provide dedi servers, then jsut release dedicated servers for everyone!!!

Judging by this forum they not yet launcher russian server because of big number of bugs in game which makes this business pretty useless for them.

So no, we dont have any russian servers YET.

This is pathetic, why the do provide dedicated servers only for money to "elite" hosters instead of releasing deds for everyone like in 15 previous years of PC gaming history?

Crytek, damn you! Release dedicated servers for everyone, you greedy asses, dont ruin Crysis 2 even more by this crappy hosters only dedicated server distribution model! Dont be freaking Activision and Bobby Kotick!

40- 50 ms is perfect even higher does not affect gameplay around 200 others/you can have problems
