It helps to stand still when you are going to fire the Guass attachment. Movement makes it very inaccurate. At point blank range it is devastating. Also, it helps to aim down the sight with it for accuracy as firing it from the hip is not as accurate.

Well, you can aim your primary with the guass selected. That's what I meant. Obviously an under-barrel attachment doesn't have it's own sights.
