Anyone other than myself not having any of these issues

Post » Fri Jul 30, 2010 3:35 am

Lately I've been looking through the forums hearing about the same problems that have been going on since day one. But the more and more I play Ive still seen none of these problems. I'm not sure if it's that I have a good connection or if it's because I haven't played the campaign. In any case if anyone else isn't having the usual problems like lag, glitches and so on send a reply.

Well he hasn't played SP, so he hasn't seen the stand out bugs from that aspect of the game, namely the grain glitch. I don't get much lag when I can play, but the host selection/ migration system is beyond a joke at this point. 99% of the time I'm migrated into an empty, duplicate match with 2 minutes of playing online. Now, that isn't actually all that common a complaint on here, more often than not the game collapses for people after a failed migration.

Most of the problems they speak of only come from losing so much but the only real problem is lag migration and assessments adding up this "grain glitch" whatever that may be to me is non existent

Thanks for displaying exactly how little of a clue you have. The problems "we speak of" do not stem from losing matches, but then again if you actually took the time to look through the forums and see the mountain of complaints directed at real bugs as opposed to just getting beaten, you might have an idea as to the state of this prematurely released product.

I don't notice any either. Occasionally I experience bad lag or hit detection, but it's because the host literally svcks. Most of the time I play on a two bar and it seems, to me, like it's a 3 or 4 bar from Call of Duty or Halo.

my connection is fine (up to 100 mbit down, 1,6 mbit up). every other game works fine.
sold crysis 2 a week ago, due to constant lag that didn't let me enjoy the game (which i think could've been **** awesome) anymore. ruber-banding, emptying whole clips into opponents while watching them slowly turn around and finish me with one short burst. host migration worked maybe 5 times in my whole "c2 career".
but i wouldn't have sold c2 for that reasons. i really enjoyed the SP campaign, gameplay is just awesome. wouldn't mind the graphic glitches - i still don't own a hd-tv because i really don't give a crap. wouldn't mind any of the sp-glitches i stumbled upon and i wouldn't mind the occasional lag/host migration issue. i even might have put it aside in it's current state and play other games online until a fix was offered, then return...
BUT crytek didn't give a **** and still doesn't. i sold this game because i learned to hate crytek via this game and their horrible customer care/support. afaik the lag issues haven't even been acknowledged by crytek by now. screw them.

I haven't had an issue with lag in multiplayer as of yet. I have completed SP and didn't notice a grain glitch (but that is because I really don't even know what that is). I have put in 10 hrs so far in multiplayer and only had issues with "migrating sessions" (which is sooooo annoying) and hit detection. But apparently, people are really having some serious lag issues somehow. Hope they can fix everything soon!

sorry to tell u that the problem that u have has nothing to do with the game , the problem that you have is that your phone system in GERMANY/AUSTRIA as in FRANCE is crap and that is why you have these issues. Its not 100% compatible with other countries phone systems and so in communication it slows down and lags out.

The only problem I have found is the occasional AI getting stuck in a wall, but that is more funny than harmful. I don't have any Lag problems or black screens, or problems with grabbing/ stealth killing AI.

I, too, really dont have all these problems. Sure, there are some occasional sloppy aesthetic bugs like animations not playing and buggy killcams. Other than that its nothing.

Sometimes there is lag. Thats because the game didn't select a good host. If I come across such a match I leave and find another one.

Really, if you svck at the game, or have cheap internet, don't use non-existing issues as an excuse.

Also, the bars that display the connection quality are scaled differently that the ones in Black ops, for example.
I notice less issues with two bars in crysis, than when I get three bars in any CoD game.

Gotta be honest i don't get these lag problems at all, I am in uk. As a very average gamer, I think I must be benefiting from other peoples lag at the momment, because I seem to be winning every one on one gunfight...sorry. Good game thou.

What he said. You connection speed has nothing to do with lag bro.. If you test the bandwidth of a game, it uses about 40 kbps if your aren't host, and when you are host, it's around 150 kbps-ish. The lag of the game depends on your ping (time it takes for the packets to get to the other person) and how stable your connection is, i.e. (packet loss, disconnections, etc).
