Crysis 2 GTX 590 Nvidia 275.33 Problem

Post » Fri Jul 30, 2010 12:11 am

Hi, I just purchased Crysis 2 for pc. It updated to 1.8 as soon as I booted it up and I'm using Nvidia 275.33 driver with my GTX 590. When playing, the screen flickers with strange circle like black spots and when aiming down the sight the screen goes black for a second making it unplayable.

Here's a video of the problem:

Can anyone help? Is this a known problem?

Thanks

Oh and I'm running it at all extreme settings at 2560 x 1440.

Yes welcome to my world, it seems this patch has trouble with SLI and 590's, heres a quick fix that may help. The reason the flicking is occurring on my end, is because any time I set advance settings, these crazy artifacts occur, so what you do is go to graphics in settings, set them first to high, then go to advanced , not sure, but if we have the same problem, PP is automatically set to "custom", manually set that to high, then go back to "graphics" and set "extreme", do this a couple of time until they will eventually go away. It worked the first time in campaign, had a couple o tries in MP. It seems SLI doesn't like "advance settings" crysis 2 has to offer.

That seems to have got rid of it for now! Thanks! Hopefully they will patch it soon and I can have a play with the settings with no issues.
