Also when we get Sandbox 3 and can import C1 models/textures/vegetation. =P

HAHAHAHAH LMFAO

You do realize the first picture is a shot from Crysis 1 running on the Cryengine 2, I hope.

This was actually part of the 360 demo for CE3 if i remember correctly, Crysis 2 looks just as good in terms of rendering and shader effects except all the textures had to be compressed to fit on a single dual layer disk, hence the reason it looks significantly worse.

You can get a preview of some unofficial high res textures here and see the difference: http://maldotex.blogspot.com/

HAHA I'm surprised ppl thought these were photos~~
Guess that's why they have this phrase "photo realistic".
Hint: exam the textures closely on the ground in 1st pic and on the rocks in 3nd pic.

Yeah... Pictures don't really look that amazing to me. Take a look at the first picture, there are too few polygons used on the ground to make it look real. Damn it people wait till you seewhat REAL cryengine 3 will do, you won't see the difference i can guarantee that :P

For that kind of "game-magic" can only handle more than average statistical computer. And that what not everyone have in their home and even work. Doing super-realistic kind of graphic in game for group of people, only those, who can run it, it's not a business rule. Business more effective if you doing for masses and masses buying it. If that product will be bought only by a group of people, that product will be stranded. And that is not a efficient business rule =)
They need to pay something to their workers. They need to keep some for the future of the company. They need to do efficient business.

Business is a gamble to get into and if they don't make a good game then it's their problem. Safest thing now days is to do a FPS game like CoD. Let Crytek handle their business, it's their problem.

The next consoles are out?? Lol, whats wrong with the current PC platform that can possible already handle this.
I hate the fact that the whole gaming community and its development is being realized by consoles. And you add your remark in the pc discussion of this forum.....holly **** mayn!

No developer would make a game for only PC... The profit ould be too small (well, big, but still small)! So it is better to wait for next-gen platforms to make new games...

lol m8, graphics you see there are old graphics. The moment you'd move you'd realize that graphics are quite crappy.

Ya, the full dx11 cryengine 3 will blow these out the water. Not too impressed with the screens.

im not too sure but arent the screens from a crysis 1 map called vengeful spirit, the shots have nothing to do with cry engine3, saw these a few years ago whilst looking for crysis 1 mods. its true they look good as still but without AA on its not as good as they can be.

well back to crysis 1 and play that til monday :) then i can finally push my pc to the limit :)
