Did Crysis 2 have some "deleted scenes?"

I was looking at this old CryEngine 3 video that had many Crysis PC gamers superhyped 2 years ago, and I noticed there was one jungle environment involving the waterfall that I don't think I've seen from Crysis 1 and Warhead. Also we see a guy wearing Nanosuit 1 in combat on what seems like the backstreets of NYC. Seems like there might have been more story to Crysis 2 than what we got. And certainly, destructible environment on a quite big environment was evident.

This demonstration was done with Xbox 360 and PS3, so we can see that it was definitely possible for consoles to run some good stuff, but I guess they just weren't able to keep a good framerate.

I think this is what Crysis 2 would've looked like if Crytek didn't mind choking performance on the consoles.

Ya I remember watching that and seeing the outdoor scene with palm trees and mountains. Gave me hope that a setting like this would be incorporated somehow into crysis 2. Unfortunately it wasn't. I hope there is some sort of expansion pack or something that will bring back the jungle. I like the New York setting as well, but there's something about exploring a vast, open paradise that's appealing. I tried swimming out in the river in hopes to be attacked by a river monster, but I hit an invisible wall and could go very far out. The shock I had in crysis 1 when I saw a huge shark start circling me was awesome. Here is a short video I made a long time ago of shark chasing.

The island footage there is actually really bad. None of that really looked "good." If you pause you can see the horrible textures, lack of detail, etc.

Here is why:

Those videos were jus made by Crytek to show other companies that they could pull off Crysis on a console and give them reason to license CryENGINE.
