how do i get the cheese in shegoreth? daedra questline? : IV

following on from my which daedra artifact question.have attempted the shegoreth? quest to get the staff.am having big problems though with trying to get the key (which unlocks the really smelly cheese in the case) have tried both pickpocketing the inn owner when she is asleep,but she always wakes up! am not a high enough level thief to unpick the lock either.apologies for not putting my stats here at the moment (will put them up though here).can only presume that it is because i am wearing armour when trying to pickpocket the inn keeper?thanks as always :-)

Take off all your clothes, extinguish any torches or light spells on yourself, then try again.

You say you cannot unpick the lock! Why not try first Nocturnal quest before to get the skeleton key that open any lock?

Lady-Mara just tried again (without any armour/weapons e.t.c) and she still catches me red handed (am currently level 14 sneak).Chimpy will try that quest :-)
