Can't get blender nif scripts to work

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 5:58 am

I've been learning how to use Blender and GIMP and now I wanna start real modelling, but I can't get Blender to Import/Export any .nif files. I followed all the installation instructions on TES CS wiki, Blender, python and nifskope are working fine but niftools won't work at all

I think the problem is I can't load the script, cause every tutorial I look to tells me to click a - button in the scripts window which doesn't exist in the version I have. Can someone please help? It's driving me insane

Yeah that all installed

Is there something I have to do in Blender to load up the scripts or something?

If you follow the installation instructions here on the niftools forum:

http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2544

then that should give you a working installation. (Take care to install Python 2.6 32 bit and not the 64 bit version, even on a 64 bit system - Blender requires the 32 bit version of Python, because it is 32 bit itself.)

There isn't anything you should have to do in Blender itself to activate the installation.
