ooc: Because he did not PM his character to me and his character is not flushed with enough detail, Red XII will not be joining this RP. And OK Illusionary. I'm sorry I couldn't post yesterday, but will be able to everyday over the next week or two!

Kiera watched Ra as he ran off towards his bedroom, knowing that he would return with a manner of potions and short weapons. He smiled a little, thinking about the lad when they had found him. A different man. Still Alchemically brilliant, but seemingly naive and unaware of the dangers going on around him. On that note, Kiera's thoughts once again turned to Zaire. He still couldn't comprehend what was so fascinating about the woman. She appeared an average woman, but in a time so dark and full of hatred, it was hard to find someone unwilling to kill for their survival.

It was an ideology that Kiera admired. As a man who, when he was young had been trained to fight and kill, he had never seen any reason not to jump into confrontation when the time arose, but he guessed that Zaire had never seen much death, and definitely hadn't been close to killing anyone. That was also a strange notion for Kiera. Under Hudi, he quite often assumed that everyone he met had killed someone, whether by their own hands or on their orders, but in looking at Zaire, he guessed that she was an exception to that group of killers.

She wasn't attractive, really, he noted as his eyes found her face. However, she was a girl that you couldn't help but like. She was a loveable character, and in saying that she wasn't attractive, he realised that he was wrong. She was respectable enough, and that was saying a lot under Hudi. Most of the women who were anywhere near being, 'attractive', had been taken away by Hudi at the arresting hour. Some of the only cases where he suspected that the arrestee wouldn't have been killed.

A few seconds later, Ra came bounding back into the room. Kiera turned and smiled at him as he showed Zaire his items. Kiera shook his head, how could the boy be so happy? Nowadays, it was incredibly difficult for Kiera to be anything but serious. Ra asked if they were ready to go, and Kiera nodded replying,

"Yes, come. We have a long road ahead of us." He exited the inn by the front door, then stopped, holding it open for them. "After you." He said coolly, waiting for Ra and Zaire to follow.

Larry shifted his weight, the saddle was uncomfortable and the repetitive motion of the horse was new to him and kept on causing his legs to jar. It was quite depressing, but he was making good speed as the horse trotted along the dusty road. He looked about him and sighed peacefully, it was a beautiful day, the sun was was high up and cast a heavy shadow against the tree line covering Larry in shade. A warm breeze brushed against his face and the smell of pollen made him sniffle.

He checked the sacks against the horse and found he had already eaten all the apples and only had 2 more bottles of beer, Damnit, it's going to be a long trip. he thought to himself as he uncorked one of the bottles and took a hearty sip. He gasped enthusiastically as he swallowed and brushed a hand through his hair; nearly losing his footing in the process.

OOC: Sorry! Only just got internet!

Kiera could not have been more wrong about Zaire's history, but neither he nor she were to know that just yet. The breton smiled at Ra- though she avoided using magic and potions, she recognised a similar idealogy in the alchemist's ways as to her own- to always be prepared, to make use of whatever was at hand, and to rely upon one's own skill. Though he appeared quite happy-natured and easy going, she somehow felt like she would be safer in his presence than without. If nothing else, his talents will be useful, I suppose... she mused.

Kiera held the door open. "After you," he said to them. The breton dipped her head and walked through, gazing around at the outdoors. It was nice to be out here, mostly away from Hudi's presence. So far away from the Imperial City, she could forget the horrors of her childhood, and the injustices of Hudi's reign in her advlthood.

She tucked her coppery hair behind her ear and brushed the whip at her side. Her dark eyes became slightly glazed, and a frown creased her brow, as if she were unhappy, although she was merely thinking. How to get the horses without casualty?

If there were few guards there, which was likely, it would not be so hard for her. However, should there be more there than planned, force might need to be used. A decent distraction would help greatly. And of course, force doesn't have to mean death... she thought.

She surveyed Kiera, particularly his weapon. His sword had a heavy pommel and strong hilt. It should do nicely, but they might need to find heavy branches instead if he considered it not an option.

The breton bit her lip. And what if he decides that either we kill them or nothing? Well... in that case, she'd have to work pretty hard, but she'd be damned if they became bandits simply because she couldn't trick a few dim-witted guards.

Her lips curved. Only imagine what father would say...

So she waited for Ra to come out, and for Kiera to lead them on. She suspected that the man would not take kindly to her racing off on her own, and this was a kind of leadership she could tolerate.

The sound of a man shouting an order haulted Larry's daydream, he looked down at the heavily armed guards and held his breath in fear, he had forgotten about these men, elite soldiers to Hudi and well payed enough to stay loyal. "What'cha doing out 'ere boy?" Asked one of them, "I'm uhh, heading to the Imperial City, I was on a business trip in Kvatch and uhh, it all went quite uhh, well." He stammered. The man nodded, "Get off ya horse, search it!" The guard called, the other men jumped to attention and began to throw his saddle bags across the dirt track.

"Ain't nothing here but some beer and a list of plants sir." informed a giant of a nord. The guard who had addressed him before peered at Larry, it was at this point that larry noticed the man was missing an eye and instead had a nasty scar. Larry eyed nervously as one of the guards began to pat down his trenchcoat, luckily he was using gauntled hands and couldn't feel the small throwing knives. He looked at the man in charge and shook his head, "Clean."

Larry's heart began to slow down, he'd gotten away. "You be careful now sir, there's bandits along these tracks. We've been hunting the bastards for days, but they're like rats.." Larry nodded and smiled, deciding it was best that he didn't say anything else incase he said something wrong and the men doubled checked him. He placed his saddle bags back onto the horse and climbed ontop. "Good luck." He said and trotted along, his head pulsing in fear that they would call him back. Even if they had taken all his beer, he was happy to be leaving.
