NO BLOCK BASED COMBAT

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 3:50 am

it felt like assassins creed really the combat was just ruined. the AI would block all the time and the only way to really get a hit was to block them! annoying as [censored].

EDIT: some people are getting confused. so i tell u this. GO find a bandit or something that has a sword, and fight it with a hammer or sword of sorts does this individual u r fighting not block ALOT! normmally i wouldnt have a problem with it if u didn't get STUNNED every time u hit his sord or sheild. kinda annoying how i got to wait for him to attack, (it feels like ac because they block or u block and the new acs 3+ have no historic base and i play them not.)

I agree. Also Beth, PLEASE NO SPACE FIGHTER BASED COMBAT! I really dont like that kind of gameplay. Also NO PORTAL GUN BASED COMBAT!!! Thats been done... Dont put that in the game either, ok Beth?

Also no racing gameplay, especially nascar. That would really make Skyrim boring Beth.

If someone is attacking you with a sword then you will obviously try to block. You're reference to AC is wrong, if you are persistent enough with your attacks then you will get past their block.

Don't make a thread until you've thought it out at least ten times in your head, it's for the best.

Maybe Assassin's creed actually wants you to use strategy?
I would love for enemies to block a lot, it is better than the alternative "combat dummy" that only swings their sword around and is completely open to attack.

and there is a kick button in assassin's creed to get past defenses if you didn't know

You know. When polling one should always add something like this:

Has no opinion.

Or words to that effect.

It can even be something comedic.

I think what the OP is trying to say, and I assume he's played this game before at an expo, is that when you attack enemies with a weapon, they will block, which will then temporarily stun you. It sounds like he couldn't get a hit in. At least, that is what I gathered.

Surprise!
Being hit with a large stick in the face is painful, it's prudent to protect yourself.
