I just got done looting a Dwemer ruin which are freaking amazing btw. So much loot in those things. Anyway as I was going through it I realized I have no idea what the Dwemer look like. Does anyone know what the really looked like?

I could tell you what a Dwemer with Corprus and no legs looks like. I could also tell you what the ghost of one looks like!

you can see 1 really fat dwemer in Morrowind and seveal ghosts
oh and in the artbook it says that the dwemer centurion faces were made to look like them so imagine them but human

Imagine elves, except with beards. Also SCIENCE.

They are like shorter, dark skinned elves... Except the last living Dwemer from Morrowind... He looked like a Hutt from Star Wars.

I don't know where people get that they are tall. Descriptions of them from in-game books from other games in the series (and maybe in Skyrim, since they do use a lot of books in all the game) say they are short; other than having long ears, they pretty much are described the same way any fantasy Dwarf is.

To the contrary, they're actually just as tall as any other mer. They received the name 'Dwarves' from giants. As for aesthetics, they're very heavily inspired by ancient-Babylonia and Assyria with a steampunk twist.
