OK , I am playing a warrior type character, level 15, exploring dungeons and killing mammoths and friends. I do have a slight problem though, why doesn't newer armor spawn more often? When or where should dwarven armor appear? I am already playing with a strong dwarven blade.... but no armor whatsoever

Do I have to smith armor if I want anything better than steel or will it start to appear? :thumbsup:

It does start to appear at level 18.

What about daedra and dragon? Will it appear on chests also?

It also tends to appear most in Dwemer ruins. But, by and large, the best way to get new armor is to smith it. Unlike Oblivion, where common bandits leveled with you and so you would find them ruining around in glass armor, bandits never really get past fur armor. I'm level 42 and I only occasionally see something other then fur/steel armor (usually it's scaled armor).

^ No for dragon that craftable only dunno about daedra though.
