I've never really noticed this until last night, but companions sometimes wear the clothes you give them.

Not until Lydia refused to take off my Alikr hood. Seriously, she wouldn't NOT wear it.

I told her over and over again,"Look Lydia, you look ridiculous and you are frankly embarrassing me in front of every citizen in Riften."
She would just stare back like she was lost in contemplation of how awesome she thought she looked.

I tried to ignore it since I have some semblance of respect for her, but every time I looked at her I couldn't stop myself from cracking up in laughter.

So I finally put my boot down and ripped that cowl off her head and threw it into the canols under Riften. I thought that I was finished with that damn hood, until...

"HEY! Mister! You dropped some armor! I was just wondering... did you still want it?"
"You mean that soiled head rag? NO! I DO NOT WANT IT! NO ONE WANTS IT! Get away from me!"

"... Oh wow, thanks! Let's see who will try to bully me now with this on."

So what funny outfits are your companions wearing?

Since companions wear whatever gives them the best armor rating, Sven is decked out in Superior Orcish armor and one of the Dragon Priest masks.
