I'm playing as a Redguard spellsword, trying to decide between heavy or light armor. I understand there's suppose to be a difference in mobility between light and heavy but so far I haven't notice much of a difference. Is there any benefit to wearing light armor besides it not weighing as much, freeing up inventory space. Do you use less stamina when power attacking with light armor? I could always use 'flesh' spells to increase my defense if needed when using light armors, but if you can move just as well in heavy armor what's the point, unless your a stealth character.

Just wanted to hear others opinions on the matter since I read in a guide that light armor was recommended for certain melee classes, like a Nordic warrior using a sword and shield or a spellsword using sword and magic.
