Its funny, I sometimes think Bethesda skimped out on their in-house test team.

Executive: Lay off the testers.

Developers: Why?!

Executive: The players can play-test Skyrim themselves and all future patches, we can save lots of $$.

Developers: Ok... but how will bug reporting be accomplished?

Executive: Easy, just have them use the forums.

if the new patch removes magic damage resistance, then the game is broken for everyone relying on it, if you're a mage especially where you don't have a lot of protection to begin with.

Only those who went into offline mode before the patch will be able to avoid it.

The rest of us are screwed until they fix it.

I had forgot I left Steam running while I was at work today... so I didn't have a choice. Sure enough, just got home and check update history, patch installed around noon.

I'm afraid to even load my game. I backed up my saves but... no telling if that will be any help. :sadvaultboy:

Holy crap, can we stick with one thread about the patch at a time? I know the mods close them at 200 or so posts, but seriously, do we need multiple threads about the patch at the same time? If everybody would stick with the same thread maybe it would stay on the front page. Maybe they could even sticky it just for convenience's sake.

The patch they released has made more problems than it fixed. It screwed the textures for me and they were fine before the patch and now I have dragons spiralling down into the ground....

So as far as I can see the patch fixed it for the people who had the problems but caused those problems for the people who were fine

Technically, no, we dont need all of these threads, but it sure as hell feels GREAT to see just how displeased everyone is.

Place any books in them and you lose your books. Also the book case will not interact when you press E afterwards.

point: 360/ps3!!! :celebration: i refuse to let any patch come near my game unless it is in an expansion (when they come out), being on xbox helps avoid them

p.s. what are the glitches is supposedly fixes? i have only found glitches that should be kept in (giants!!) and the magicka glitch (that does not elt you regane mana half as much while in combat)

Havent personally noticed any new bugs but it ruined most of the community fixes for the existing ones that it didnt manage to fix. Great work bethesda. Luckily 4gb is back already.

Yes pretty much, unless you reject the patch...which unfortunately many didn't do because they had no way of knowing it was a train wreck and completely untested...

I don't use magic resistence enchantments too often, myself. Does this effect those using the Atronach birthsign at all, or does spell absorbtion work the same?

If you are having specific issues with the 1.2 patch for PC, use the existing discussion topic: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1298554-patch-12-unofficial-thread-3/

If you are on PS3 or Xbox, use the corresponding forum section for PS3 or Xbox tech support.
