Main char...

Bard/assassin - stealth, oned-handed, block, light armour, archery, speech, restoration, conjuration, smithing, enchantment, heavy armour (for spellbreaker)

Typical playstyle (lvl 51) is stealth + instagib anything with backstab, or rush with 1h+shield or twowep if feeling impatient.

Thieves don't really have to kill much.... most do in normal dungeons however, so in them it becomes more an "assassin" playstyle with alot of sneaking and stabbing. You can actually just sneak past most of the mobs in the game if you want to however... and steal their stuff if you perk out pickpocket.

Later in the game when fighting skills are maxxed out and you don't need them for levelling, this actually becomes a nice way of clearing dungeons.

I call my guy a paladin. Its because I use restoration and flesh spells. heavy armor, one hand sword, i have destruction to apprentice (probably as far as I'm going in destruction except maybe augment).

Strider - [Health : Stamina = 1:1] - Heavy Armor, Archery, One-Handed (dual swords for face to face, dual daggers for sneak), Sneak, Smithing (hunts & mines his own crafting materials), Lock picking, Alchemy.
- Morality: good.
You can find some very primitive "archetype" descriptions in the official guide books, http://www.ign.com/wikis/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim/Archetypes

I designed my guy like a Final Fantasy style Red Mage. One Handed Swords, Destruction Magic, Restoration Magic, and Light Armor. Just added a touch of Archery in there. I guess he'd be a battle Mage by Elder Scrolls standards.

Its a great build, main weakness is no blocking. I can make up for it by healing through damage, or using terrain to keep distance between stronger monsters and either blasting them with Destruction or Archery.
