This game was soooooo frustrating last night. Had 5+ CTDs at the same point. Checked cache etc... still continued

Was just returning Dravin's Bow just outside Riften and a dragon appeared, and at various time during the fight the game would CTD.

I can handle 1 perhaps even 2, but last night I made barely any progress cos it kept on crashing.

I would add that I really love Skyrim, I'm not a hardcoe RPG'er, but find this is a great mix action without the hours of stats etc unless that's the way you like to play. I suppose if I didn't like the game I'd just give it up as a bad job and play Batman or Serious Sam which I have waiting on my hard drive.

Sometimes I'd get a CTD every 5 minutes. Sometimes not.

If Bethesda can tell us why this is happening, many people, I'm sure, would feel less frustrated. At least then people who wants Skyrim to be playable can work on it.

install the 4gb mod (1.4) and no CTD's

Any chance for a link to this mod? My mind and hair have been aged 25years due to all the crashes :S

Having the same problem with the CTD's. Ive spent 3 hours on clearing one cave, due to crashes and crashes and.. yea.

Sometimes I get CTD every time I hit someone with an arrow or sword. It can get very frustrating.

If some bugs/crashes will not be fixed, try also install my patch, it fixes other problems of the game.

I hardly get any crashes, maybe once every 50 hours, but that's mostly minutes after I alt-tab to the desktop and it's the same with my son, hardly any crashes....if any...and he uses different hardware and a different Windows version.

You guess need to look at your hardware instead of complaining about the game.

There are 50 pages of people who get CTD's. This is a major issue with Skyrim.

I originally installed the 4GB LAA update. However Steam has screwed this up twice now.

Just tell Steam to allow for the 4GB LAA patch, and everyone will be happy. Including me. :thumbsup:
