so i went and completed all the daedric side missions to get the artifacts, and when i finally got the last one i was expecting the trophy to pop, but no no no apparently theres missable artifacts if you choose a couple "wrong" options when completing the quests. apparently the rueful axe is NOT a daedric artifact (like i was supposed to know that in-game somehow) and now it's physically impossible for me to get 15 artifacts on this character.... well thats just great thanks for that one beth... so in other words, DO NOT KILL BARBAS when you get the option otherwise you get screwed hardcoe with no vaseline if you catch my drift...

There's options not to get the artifact in a whole bunch of them

oh? i thought it was only 2 of them? but meh. hopefully more quests that give artifacts come with dlc or something. time will tell lol.

yes. so far, I know that Mehrunes Dagon and Namira's quests also have the possibility of not getting the artifact, based on your choices

You can play the game more than once, no one said you had to get all the achievements in one go. Must be such torture that you have to play and enjoy a game a second time at any time of your choosing to get an achievement that you can get on any playthrough

But yeah, I don't know why the rueful axe wasn't counted but I'm not very knowledgable of a lot of the lore. Same thing happened to you as with me; svcks but, oh well lol. I really enjoy the game so I can play it (at least) once more.

I think the word achievement should imply that its not a gimme.

its just annoying because the other ones are at least obvious choices. killing barbas seems like what the daedra would reward you for since he is incredibly annoying (he got me stuck free floating in the narrow pathway at the exit to the shrine TWICE) and since killing him restores the daedra's power. I've been thinking about a second character, guess this is my chance to do it lol. I like the game and it's worth replaying, i just got immediately frustrated with the fact that i had 14/15 artifacts and that there weren't any others i could get.
